Dollar General — Local services in Marksville

I've been in retail management for over 35 years and I believe I experienced every "don't do this" in this one visit. I want to point out that I am the most calm, patient person ever. On November 24th, I went to check out, there was only person in line. She's looking around for the cashier, (that was putting away stock in the line). She says "I will be right with you". She continued putting her stock away until she emptied the box. The lady in front of me, nor myself was happy about that. The cashier was very friendly once she got to the register. I left, realized I forgot something and drove back to the store. There were about 4 people in line but there were 2 register lights on. Once in line, the customer at the front was having some issues which took awhile. The cashier was talking to another cashier about everything except the job. The second employee, a young black lady was holding a scan gun so I figured she worked on the floor. 2 people came behind me, the black cashier went over to the other register (that had the light on) and took the last person in line!! We had waited at least 5-10 minutes (which feels like forever when you are waiting in line listening to the employees entertain each other). And this guy just walks straight up to the counter! Once she finished with him, she then called me over and said "I didn't realize that you only had one thing". I just shook my head and stated quietly "you had us waiting in that long line". I took my things and left. That was 2 weeks ago and I am still upset! They definitely need to work on the "customer first"...

Well this dollar store on moreau street has to have the worst rudest lil girl working.i bought candy reduced 25 percent.wow i know well it added to 60.whoa put the brakes.i was buying my grandkids candy because trick or treating on cedar lane if they got 20 pieces of candy that was alot.well i told ger return the 850 bag of candy and the candy corn and 4.00 bag of nerds.miss rude pretend boss decides she would walk to register and say some people need to decide first instead of causing this trouble.long line of people behind me.but i wasnt intimidated by her i was insulted.like i told her maybe she dont care about how much money spent and if i save 1 or 2 .by the time thanksgiving comes it should be 50 percent off.this dollar general certainly cares nothing...

Friendly staff that is always working! No slacking. Great management. A few great team members that are respectful & are trying to live in this world we now call life. So many items are in this store it's wild. There is no way I would have thought this Dollar General store(or any other D.G store) would have so many great items. Also waiting on the app & this store to get with the full order at home pay online & pick up my order in store !!!! That will be...
