As someone with 20+ years of experience in the service industry, I rarely write complaints, but I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others and ensure T-Mobile is aware of what’s going on at this location.
Bottom line: Do yourself a favor and avoid this T-Mobile Authorized Retailer. If you're in the Manalapan area, just take a short drive to Freehold and visit a corporate T-Mobile store instead. It will save you time, frustration, and potentially money.
Here’s why: On March 6, 2025, I visited this store, unaware that it's a third-party retailer (not a corporate T-Mobile location). The sales associate, Isaiah (Zay), sold me an iPhone under the impression that I was getting a 256GB model, but received a 128GB one instead. He also told me that there was a promotion for SYNCUP trackers making it sound as they were free—only to later find out there was a monthly fee. To make matters worse, Zay was wearing an earpiece blasting music throughout the interaction, which kept linking to the speaker which he kept apologizing for but kept happening again and again.
When I returned to address the issue about the trackers Zay refused to let me return the SYNCUP and LIED saying he was not able to make the transaction, TWO separate times.
I reached out to T-Mobile customer service, who confirmed Zay was wrong and even offered to report him. When I came back the THIRD time and I said that customer service said he was wrong he did the return as if nothing happened.. no apology, remorse, or accountability. I then visited the Freehold T-Mobile store, where the team (shout-out to Ashley and Christopher) quickly resolved all my issues with professionalism and empathy.
It’s clear that Zay’s behavior—likely driven by commission incentives—was misleading and unprofessional. I strongly recommend steering clear of this location and going directly to a corporate T-Mobile store. T-Mobile should look into this store’s practices and consider training or reevaluating their staff.
Lastly, I hope Ashley and Christopher are recognized for their exceptional service. They turned my experience around and restored my faith...
Read moreShota is disrespectful and lazy employee. I came in to trade in my devices and he told me we can’t do the trade in since the order was done online, after I explained to him that they told me I could drop off the phones here he then suddenly explained yes but you need the shipping label - which I had with me. “It’s better if you just go to UPS yourself”. I came the following day because the brand new phone mailed to me was defective (power button was stuck) told me he would have to charge me a restocking fee for the device- explained that it was defective and that customer service informed me the fastest and easiest way is to go in store to do the return and purchase the new phone. I even had the customer service speak to him at which that point he ended the call on them and said he will not be returning the device and if I wanted to return it to go to a different location. Awful store extremely...
Read moreExcellent staff, well knowledged, educated, and friendly. I was assisted last week by Farah, very nice, intelligent, and efficient. Also, Sayda. Another asset to T Mobile, who helped me lower my monthly bill after spending fifteen years with Verizon.
I was thinking of switching to T Mobile years ago, but I was concerned that their network might not be as good and Verizon. After using their service for eight days, I regret immensely not switching to T Mobile since day one. Not only I ended saving a monthly phone bill, but also enjoying the great incentives and benefits. You will get more for less, just like driving a Prius the more you drive it, the more gas money you save.
I highly recommend T Mobile to anyone who's thinking of switching from their courier. The service, tempting features, and savings are a top notch. Once again, thank you for the great...
