Tio Taco + Tequila — Restaurant in Marlboro Township

I have gone to this place for a few years now. Always have had a great time, and have had great service up until today which left a bad taste in my Mouth. I went in and met with family, was greeted by a waitress who seemed very distracted and all over the place. She messed up my drink order, I asked for a margarita ( frozen ) coconut . I am brought on the rocks with ice . I could not get my Waiter’s attention , so another waitress shouted to the bartender. I am then brought a regular frozen margarita ( without coconut ). Keep in mind I have come here multiple times with family , so I know what a coconut margarita taste like. It wasn’t that . I politely tell the waitress and she without apologizing catches an attitude and brings it to the bar. Almost 20 minutes Later a manager with the first name of Gabby comes over to argue with me that it was in fact a coconut margarita and that the waitress does not make the drinks. That she tasted it and it was coconut .

How about apologize for the mishap in the first place and just replace my drink , add more coconut and do not go back and forth .

I asked for the owners information in which she did not provide .

She then proceeded to gather with the waitress laugh and look my way . I felt very uncomfortable and disgusted , I will be filing a complaint with Better Buisness. Another waitress brought over my food to go and I assume they were all gossiping about me and she goes “ here “ very nasty. This isn’t a drama club , it should be a Buisness that treats customers with respect and corrects the mistake without the back and forth or Sitting there gossiping about...

Don't waste your time or money here. To start, the margaritas are terrible. Overfilled with ice, watered down, can't taste the alcohol and the flavored ones (coconut) don't taste like what they are supposed to. All of the food was cold and bland. The flautas were soggy and the chicken inside had absolutely zero flavor. Tasted like boiled, shredded chicken with no seasoning. The very few bite sized pieces of steak for the carne asada fajitas again had no seasoning and were tough and chewy, it was basically a plate of peppers and onions. Rice, bland. Beans, canned. Chips, bland. Salsa, pureed to a liquid consistency with (surprise!)...no flavor. Quesadilla, burnt. No one in our party even wanted to bother trying dessert because the meal was so terrible. Service was mediocre, had to ask for silverware, plates and water repeatedly before getting any. The table was not cleared of dirty plates between apps and meal, which made for a crowded table. The place was way too noisy and the music so loud to the point you couldn't even hear the conversation at your own table. Perhaps the best part of this place (which is the only reason why I gave it 1 star) is the wallpaper in the bathroom which, speaking of...I haven't left since eating here! Definitely do not plan to EVER visit Tio's in...

Decided on going here for my birthday dinner, so excited because it was a new restaurant in my area. The wait time was reasonable and i loved the aesthetics inside. Was beyond disappointed in our waitress and other wait staff as well, i have experience in waitressing and i understand how intense and difficult the job can be but our waitress had a huge attitude and was extremely ignorant when it came to asking simple questions. Never introduced herself and only came to our table twice throughout the hour and a half we were there. Another girl brought my food and said she’d be back with the sides i had and she nor my waitress came back. She didn’t bring our appetizers out or our food when she finally came back to check on us we had been done eating for 20 minutes and we wanted dessert. When we ordered the dessert she didn’t take our plates so when the (i’m assuming ) manager came back to bring us the tres leches we got there was no room to put anything. Even going to leave we said have a good one to the hostess who was too busy in conversation with one of the waiters to acknowledge us.The food was mediocre but the tres leches was amazing. Overall just disappointed in the service especially for being the first experience i most likely wont go...
