Grand China — Restaurant in Marlboro Township

This place used to be great even when the new owners took over, my family and I ordered from here at least three times a week. Ever since the pandemic something has gone wrong. Ingredients are cheap, very little chewy beef and sour broccoli in the beef w/ broccoli. The Kung Pao is flavorless and the chicken is dry and not cubed as it used to be. Egg Drop soup tastes old & burnt. Chicken rice soup is sour. Pork fried rice has all fat pieces instead of pork. I have given them several chance to straighten things out but it seems as if they do not care. We will not be returning to this establishment. It is a shame how they let it go downhill so quickly. We’ve been ordering from Grand China since 2000. This place always had the best food. Owners were amazing and very friendly. They had sold the place about 3 years ago. I knew it right away when food didn’t taste as good as it used to. I asked the girl if they are the new owners and BINGO yes, they were. We decide to try them again last week. Food was so tasteless that at one point my husband asked if the rest of us taste the food. He got afraid that he might have lost his taste. Thankfully, it wasn’t him it was the food. This place is hidden gem of Marlboro. I know people like empire schezuan more than this, but for me grand China is hands down so much better and fresher. They always cook the food fresh and they have an open kitchen so you can see how they’re cooking too.
