Verizon — Local services in Martinsville

I usually love this store, but yesterday (5/2/2020) they were down right rude. We usually go to this store because in the past they have done all the calls for us such as pulling a phone number off of an old plan on to a new one, switching numbers, backing up the old phone, and putting it into the new phone, ect. Yesterday was not the case. My mother and I went to pull me off of her plan and on to my own and get my self a new phone, as well as upgrade my younger sister’s phone. We went to Martinsville because of our previous wonderful experiences with them. We were a little late 5:30, (They don’t close until 6.) but thought since I was willing to drop a couple hundred dollars and get a new plan they would be willing to be open a few minutes longer to help us. We barely got out of the car and the employee ran out side and asked us what we needed. We told him the reason for our trip, and we’re told they do not do the number switching at the store. We would have to call a help center and do it our selves, set up my own plan, and only come back when we were ready for an new phone. I know this is a lie because a few months ago they added my mother’s boyfriend’s phone on to our plan and they set up everything. I will have my mother call and release my number and set up my new plan, but will not be going back to this store in the future, and certainly not buying my new phone from there. I’ll go to Sam’s Club and get a $100 gift card and a new phone since they obviously did not want my money at...

We stopped in to see if there was anything we could do about my battery in my phone and was greeted by Don. Don was remarkable! We so appreciated that he he took his time with us and talked very clearly and slowly so we could keep up and understand. So many younger people talk so so fast that it’s almost impossible to understand everything. Younger people need to understand that older folks have hearing loss / issues and can’t grasp everything being said when they talk a hundred miles a minute so to speak. That’s why Don REALLY stood out to us. He wasn’t trying to rush us in any way at all, what a good treat! We found him to be very knowledgeable and had GREAT customer service 👍. We’ve always went to Greenwood for our cell phone service but decided to try this location in Martinsville IN and was glad we did. Customer service is everything to us. Do not buy internet from this Verizon. IT IS NOT AN ACTUAL VERIZON STORE! They are only a TCC Authorized Retail location that won't follow correct protocol and will commit fraud under your name to secure their commission. One female worker (I regret not getting her name but she had a pin that said "best Verizon sales associate of the year") sold us internet, told us that our address isn't in the Verizon area, but we could add a family member's address that is, and it would work perfectly fine at our address.
