Kinda weird kayak trip, not sure the guides name she never said it that I heard. We had 5 boats and hers wasn’t lit up so couldn’t see her most of the time. Would have thought two guides one for the front and one for the back but it was just the one. She just told us get across the canal because boats don’t yield to kayaks and then we sat there waiting and someone said she told them keep paddling along the bank. We got there and waited and then it was go into a sort of cove so we did that and waited till they said time to go back. We got back first which I guess was against the rules but honestly it felt like she wanted to get back first to make sure we knew she worked for tips. We paid $165 and she didn’t get part of that? I probably offended her again when I gave her some constructive criticism the main thing being her boat needed to be lit up where we could see her and it would have been nice if instructions on where we were going were made clear by her. She never talked or made conversation with anyone other than when she was fixing a boat and offered to turn on a light that shut off on someone’s boat. The most she said was she worked on tips. We tipped her as we planned on doing but I have to say this was the worst kayak trip we’ve been on. Should’ve booked the sunset cruise so we could have at least seen where we were going. I’d recommend anyone else buy glow sticks and hit the public beach access and swim with them before paying for...

I recently had the pleasure of joining an afternoon kayak tour with Get up and Go Kayaking - Destin, and it was a lovely experience, thanks to our amazing tour guide, Dylan. DYLAN IS THE BEST! From start to finish, his attentiveness and dedication to providing an exceptional experience were evident. From his patience to his remarkable care, he ensured that everyone in our group felt comfortable and confident, regardless of their kayaking experience. His calm demeanor and clear instructions made the entire tour enjoyable and stress-free. What stood out the most was Dylan’s knowledge of the local ecosystem, which made the journey not only beautiful but also educational. His passion for what he does is contagious, and it was clear that he genuinely cares about the natural beauty of the area. I highly recommend Get up and Go Kayaking and especially Dylan as a tour guide. If you’re looking for an adventure that combines beautiful scenery, diligent guidance, and a deep appreciation for nature, this is the tour for you. Thank you, to the company and our guide, for an...

My kayaking experience was nothing short of amazing!!! I was in town from Tennessee and decided to try out the nighttime kayak. I went on a night event with the crew, and it was so much fun. The kayaks have two sets of LED lights in the bottom that you can make whatever color you want. The water is clear enough and, in some places, shallow enough to see all the way to the bottom. The tiny fish come up to see the lights, and then the bigger fish come chasing after them. So much fun to watch. On occasion, a fish might jump in the boat but is easily escorted out and is actually kind of fun. We went through some marsh-type areas as well; with the moon above, it was lovely. We heard some rustling at the shoreline and spent some time trying to get a glimpse of the creature but with no luck. They even have headlamps and flashlights for you to use. The kayaks have a wide bottom, making you feel stable and secure. The staff is very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the diverse biology as well. Please go on a trek with them, you won't be...

This was such a great tour! We were able to see and learn more about areas of the ocean, saw wildlife and even got to explore a little bit out of the kayaks on a little island. Aside from hat, we also had the best experience with our kayak tour guide, Dylan! I appreciated his knowledge on kayaking, the ocean, wildlife and everything else. He was very kind, patient and very accommodating to our group. At one point on the tour, I lost my phone..I had dropped it out of the kayak (luckily it was in a waterproof bag) and Dylan was so nice in pausing the tour for a moment to help find my phone. We found it and he wasn’t upset or annoyed at all. He had a very positive attitude for the entirety of the tour and was fun to be around!! I would highly recommend this tour to everyone!!

Elliot was awesome. He actually tried to remember our names and did a fantastic job of it. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife that we saw and was excitable when seeing some of the more rare sightings. Made it much more enjoyable and feel more like 5 friends out for a good time rather than a boring tour that was just a job. The clear kayaks were a neat feature and the water was beautiful. We went just under 3 miles and were out for about 2 hours and 15 minutes according to my Garmin. Only trouble we had was getting into and out of the kayak or keeping it straight. For some reason we got a little crooked and felt like the kayak wanted to drift. Totally worth it, would definitely go again if we come back without our personal kayaks.

This was a great adventure! Corey was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond to help ensure everyone in the group had a great time even though the winds, waves and tide were not in our favor. I ended struggling in the beginning kayaking with my son and Corey took over and paddled with my son and let me be in the single kayak since I was having a hard time getting us across the first pass. The sights were so beautiful and we loved learning about the nature and history of the areas we explored! I 100% would recommend this to anyone considering just make sure you’ve got some good upper body strength to row lol. I’m sure all the guides are great but Corey took the time to help everyone who struggled and to make all the kids feel at ease!
