Kinda weird kayak trip, not sure the guides name she never said it that I heard. We had 5 boats and hers wasnât lit up so couldnât see her most of the time. Would have thought two guides one for the front and one for the back but it was just the one. She just told us get across the canal because boats donât yield to kayaks and then we sat there waiting and someone said she told them keep paddling along the bank. We got there and waited and then it was go into a sort of cove so we did that and waited till they said time to go back. We got back first which I guess was against the rules but honestly it felt like she wanted to get back first to make sure we knew she worked for tips. We paid $165 and she didnât get part of that? I probably offended her again when I gave her some constructive criticism the main thing being her boat needed to be lit up where we could see her and it would have been nice if instructions on where we were going were made clear by her. She never talked or made conversation with anyone other than when she was fixing a boat and offered to turn on a light that shut off on someoneâs boat. The most she said was she worked on tips. We tipped her as we planned on doing but I have to say this was the worst kayak trip weâve been on. Shouldâve booked the sunset cruise so we could have at least seen where we were going. Iâd recommend anyone else buy glow sticks and hit the public beach access and swim with them before paying for...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of joining an afternoon kayak tour with Get up and Go Kayaking - Destin, and it was a lovely experience, thanks to our amazing tour guide, Dylan. DYLAN IS THE BEST! From start to finish, his attentiveness and dedication to providing an exceptional experience were evident. From his patience to his remarkable care, he ensured that everyone in our group felt comfortable and confident, regardless of their kayaking experience. His calm demeanor and clear instructions made the entire tour enjoyable and stress-free.    Read moreMy kayaking experience was nothing short of amazing!!! I was in town from Tennessee and decided to try out the nighttime kayak. I went on a night event with the crew, and it was so much fun. The kayaks have two sets of LED lights in the bottom that you can make whatever color you want. The water is clear enough and, in some places, shallow enough to see all the way to the bottom. The tiny fish come up to see the lights, and then the bigger fish come chasing after them. So much fun to watch. On occasion, a fish might jump in the boat but is easily escorted out and is actually kind of fun. We went through some marsh-type areas as well; with the moon above, it was lovely. We heard some rustling at the shoreline and spent some time trying to get a glimpse of the creature but with no luck. They even have headlamps and flashlights for you to use. The kayaks have a wide bottom, making you feel stable and secure. The staff is very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the diverse biology as well. Please go on a trek with them, you won't be...
