I just graduated from this school and Tina Evans is by far one of the worst people to run this school. She is very passive aggressive and seems to not care for her students. I had to have an emergency surgery one day to get my appendix taken out, completely out of the blue, when I called the school to tell them I'll be taking time off from school to heal, she replied with if I do not come back I will be dropped. I ended up coming to school again two days after my surgery because I could not afford to get dropped. This included me walking around hunched over from the pain of my incision wounds, Tina Evans showed no concern (even though I had a doctors note). Another time I got in a car accident right in front of the school and I couldn't attend school the day after due to my car being crumpled, when I returned (on Friday, my car accident took place on Wednesday) I told Tina about my accident. Instead of even asking if I was okay, in disbelief she said "these things just seem to keep happening to you". Please keep in mind I attended the school for two years and these incidents we're a year apart from each other. She will constantly try to keep you at the school as long as possible, she has lost people's hours (she would lose about 50+hrs) when we already need 1730hrs to complete the program. Even though I am graduated I still receive calls from friends still at the school about how they are going through the same thing with her and they are miserable. I would not recommend going to this school to anyone. If you have ever struggled with anxiety or depressjon this school will bring out the worst of it (i was clean from cutting for 3-4 years before this school pushed the limits, and ended up relapsing due to so much stress from the school) by over working you and having no leniency for attendance when things get hard such as physical health, mental health, sickness, family losses, and any other reason you'd have to miss a day. Tina is very passive aggressive and will only be nice to you when you are going in for a look around the campus and are thinking about joining. Once you sign those contracts you might as well sign your freedom away. I would suggest going to any other school except for this one. They will make you feel like you are lazy or a slacker for taking off a day after you lose a loved one. They will affect your grades solely on what they think of you, not by what you deserve. Even some(most) of the staff do not like her. She is power hungry and will act nice but stab you in the back and lie to your face. I now work in a barbershop and I've worked at other salons since my graduation and none of them are like this. They all understand that things happen and are more than happy to let you take the days you need off. She has given me PTSD about working at other salons and I'm thankful I work in a place that understands what I went through and breaks any bad feelings I had about the industry. The school will have you hating the industry you chose. Do not go to this school, don't say I...
Read moreI went in for a scalp treatment, conditioning treatment, wash and blow dry. I have textured hair so it does take a little bit longer to detangle. I had Kat as my hairdresser and she was awesome! She was so patient combing through my hair and made sure to section off areas. She had a another girl, Cami, help out during blowing drying cause time was ticking down. But they both continued to get my hair as straight as possible and didn't rush through it. Which I really appreciate. They even let me know about one of the other students there who is a great braider so I'll have to see them next time. I look forward to...

On Wednesday's were five dollar day for each thing I chose to have done, like getting my brow waxed. The time I sat in the chair just flew. Your great at explaining different styles and colors ,etc. Thanks for the...
