We had to find a new school for my son to attend and found this school through Google search. The first tour, we made sure to be honest and upfront about my son and his behavior problems and they were fine with it. In fact, the owners made it known they have other children with autism and sensory processing disorder currently in attendance and work well with them, the parents, and harbor (who my son also sees). It was a great tour. We toured again with my sons dad and all went well then too despite touring with someone else. My son's previous school recommended that I take him to meet his new teachers and see the place since he has sensory processing and does not so well with transitions and changes. I called to set up an appointment and they gave me a hassle about it but finally agreed to let him come look around. The morning of my son was having a bad day (he has to get up really early some mornings) and was not listening because he was upset. We walked in to find the owners and the woman asked me if he always acted the way he was acting. I told her yes, he's like this when he has bad days but it's not always this way (he does have some rough drop offs though since he doesn't like school). She then informs me that they have reached the maximum amount of autistic children in their classes but we're welcome to try it out and see how it goes. First off, my son is not autistic and has had that confirmed by many doctors. They made the assumption after meeting him once. Two, this was a Thursday and he was supposed to start that Monday. They failed to tell me this until that morning. Three, they never recommended we bring him to the tours, then were not happy when I wanted my son to do his own tour. They put that back on me saying it was my fault they didn't know how he is despite us telling them everything. They lost my trust and we ended up going elsewhere.
