It was a bit confusing that the Salon moved across the street and incorporated its name with another salon. I chose to go there because I discovered they offer a nice discount to Progressive Insurance and Hillcrest Hospital employees. Its a small salon that seems to cater to many ages. I was Exceptionally pleased with the fact that they took a moment to hear my needs and told me my appointment would be with placed with Karen Baxter, A hairdresser that would work with those needs specifically. On my appointment I sat with the stylist for several minutes before she started. She really listened which was something most people I have gone to before have not, and she also gave me a few options to get the look I wanted. Some options were less expensive then others and I really appreciated that. I could tell I was in good hands when I learned the stylist Karen was also a salon educator. I saw her whip out her scissors and give another stylist a very trendy haircut while my hair color was on. The salon is definitely not fancy. It gives a laid back, come as you are feel. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I was offered coffee and a pick up on lunch when one of the stylist decided to run out. My ONLY disappointment was that the free WiFi didn't work that day and I had been looking forward to getting work done while there. When all done I was very pleased by the way I looked and felt. The Stylist Karen was great and I rebooked to see her in 6 weeks. I even saved a pretty penny using my Progressive employee discount. I would recommend this place to anyone in the...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with Salon Bella Luca. I had scheduled an appointment during my lunch time from work. I called early in the morning to schedule an appointment to flex my lunch schedule with whenever they had time available. I arrived on time and they were running behind (no big deal it happens) then after waiting 25 minutes the tech apologizes and informs me she had to fix someone's nails who had just come in 3 days prior and all of her nails fell off.. Yikes should've been my first red flag. I go to sit down and the nail tech says that I am only down for Shellac. I had made sure when making the appointment to emphasize I needed a full set of acrylics with gel polish on top. The nail tech then says to me "well I don't have time to do that for you I have to leave." She then walks up to the front and asks what my appointment was put down for and turns around and says the new girl doesn't really know what she's doing she put the wrong thing in for you. She then furthered to ask if I wanted to reschedule for another appointment. I just looked up and laughed, thanked her and said no thank you. If when I had called in I would've just been told they didn't have time available for me this wouldn't have been a big deal. I simply would've went somewhere else. Very unprofessional and I will not be returning or recommending this...
Read moreItâs just impossible to find a good place to go anymore. I was so disappointed with our experience here. We were not made to feel welcome and the woman who worked on my daughterâs hair did not even introduce herself. We were there FOUR hours and charged DOUBLE the amount that was quoted on the website. Their excuse was that my daughterâs hair is thick. I understand it may have been more due to that, but double??!! Then as I was checking out and had already decided I was not going to tip because I was not happy with the service, the girl at the front desk tried to press me into tipping. Thatâs not how it works. I find it classless to insist on gratuity. The woman that did the highlights did not even ask my daughter if she was happy with it. She wasnât because she did not want chunky highlights. Do yourself a favor and find another salon if you are considering this place. Edit: Her name...
