We moved in a month ago; our apartment and the community are great. Wonderful floor plan, modern finishes, and great amenities. Assistant Property Manager, Etalem, made the leasing experience stress-free and has been a pleasure to work with both before, during and after our move. We've had minor, normal-course, maintenance needs and have been super-impressed by how efficient and responsive Josh, Assistant Maintenance Manager, has been. We're glad we chose Halstead at Maynard Crossing!
Two updates: First, I've really enjoyed how easy it is to walk to the Assabet National Wildlife Refuge from Halstead, the great trail system within the refuge, and its beauty. Second, the snow has arrived! The snow removal team is fantastic and has been on top of every storm. Great job!
And one more update: Our space needs changed earlier this year. We love where we live, so we didn’t want to leave Halstead Maynard. Instead we were able to work with Assistant Property Manager Etalem Mulu, who showed us available apartments that could meet our needs. Recently we were able to complete the move to our new space. Another fantastic unit! Shout out to Etalem, Josh in Maintenance, and the rest of the Halstead team. Always great to work with and...
Read moreIf this property was managed properly and not so high priced, it would not be a bad place to live. Unfortunately, management here doesn't like to actually be bothered with taking care of problems. There are quite a few irresponsible dog owners here, so you will find pet waste smeared in the lobby carpet for days on end and pet waste in the elevators and stair wells. The water in Maynard is horrible, so it consistently smells like chlorine and has brown sediment in it (the brown sediment also clogs up in the dishwasher). Also, make sure you have a radon detector and keep your windows open as often as you can. The equipment in the gym is never maintained, half of it is broken. The treadmill will lose power in the middle of your workout for no reason and the free weights always go missing. Your rent will go up every year at least $150+ per month upon your lease renewal. For $2700 for a 1 bedroom, you are better off finding a better maintained property, most have far more amenities than what is...
Read moreUpdate: Etalem is kindly offering to contact the people living above. But instead of helping us solve the noise issue, the other property manager pressed us to delete this review which is completely off the point of the issue. I am writing to express my frustration regarding the ongoing issue of excessive noise from the apartment above, particularly during the early hours of the morning (2-3 AM). The constant loud sounds of heavy footsteps and objects bouncing or being dropped are disruptive and make it difficult for our new born to get a good night’s sleep. Despite reaching out to management multiple times to address this issue, I have received no response or action to resolve the matter. This lack of accountability is unacceptable and has significantly impacted our comfort and quality of living in this residence. I urge the management to address this situation promptly. If the noise continues, we may have no choice but to escalate the issue by contacting local...
