I am a big fan of EAT Gallery and make a point to visit whenever I am in Maysville. The art and jewelry are exquisite and top quality; many are one-of-a-kind pieces. When you stop by you will likely meet Katie and/or Mark, or Laurie & Simon, the owners. Each of them has an infectious enthusiasm and will proudly show you their personal favorite items or new and interesting pieces, perhaps hand-picked by the featured artists themselves to send to EATS for display and sale. The space is beautiful and perfectly curated. The original wood floors, exposed brick and original storefront windows will make you want to buy an old small town building and get to work on setting up your own shop of dreams. First time I walked by the gallery, because the large EAT sign was visible down the block, I expected a new restaurant in town. What a surprise, a beautiful surprise! Eat is a very unique gallery. They have beautiful jewelry but also other interesting items (fossils, paintings, knives...). My wife and I make a point to stop in every so often to check out the new pieces. The meteorite watch that I got from here for my first Father's Day is spectacular.
