I would not recommend taking your pet to this place. I am including photos & videos as well as timestamps for proof as to why I personally do not trust this company. For starters, as most other reviews say, the customer service is not welcoming. I talked to the workers a couple of times before taking my dog there for a 3-day overnight boarding. The workers are knowledgeable but not necessarily nice. I was waiting to see how they were in person to be a final deciding factor on if I should leave my dog with them. When I arrived, just like they are on the phone, they are not welcoming to humans but was very nice to my dog which is why I decided to let him go ahead & stay because they were caring for him & not me. The smell of the place also reeks. I understand it houses animals but I’ve never been to a groomer nor vet clinic that smelt this way. My first concern is that I picked up my dog after a 3-night stay & my dog could not stay awake for more than 2 minutes. He loves car rides (will insert a picture of him in the car before I dropped him off on Wednesday & will insert a picture of him when I picked him up on Saturday). Whenever we leave him, he greets us with so many barks & so much happiness but that was not the case. He was excited but not nearly as happy as he should have been after leaving us for 3 days. When I noticed he couldn’t stay awake, I called the pawpad to see if they give the dogs any relaxers to calm them down if they’re anxious & she told me no. I told her his behavior was completely abnormal so I was probably going to take him to the vet to get checked out. Shortly after hanging up, I got a call back saying that they asked the other caregivers & everyone said he was not giving anything but there was one day that he would not come out the room at all. I called in to check on my dog while I was away & was told that he was doing great, went on plenty of potty breaks & had some time outside to run around. I’m not sure why they would not call & let me know that my dog had not come out of the room one of these days. I would have ended my trip & came to get him had I known he was unhappy. I feel as if me bringing up taking him to the vet may have alarmed the worker & she only called back to give some sort of excuse as to why he was acting weird when I should have been told this while she had my dog in her possession. Shortly after arriving home, I then noticed my dog was limping. It was not a consistent limp, but on & off. He was not in any pain but the vet did say that the boarders may have kept in a cage the whole time & he’s just getting back used to walking. I have no proof this is true because I did not see the room he was sleeping in but it is quite alarming that after scrolling & reading other reviews, someone also mentioned their dog limping after picking them up. I paid for a private room. I would hope my dog was not left in a cage. My dog is also not neutered so I was told ahead of time that he would not be having playtime with the other dogs. His paw could not have gotten hurt from playing because he should have not been around any dogs in the first place. So I’m confused as to why my dog is limping??? (I’m posting a video of him limping. I have him on a leash connected to the couch so that I could get a clear recording of him limping without him having to walk too much) Lastly, when I picked him up, I was told that he had not eaten yet that day. This was originally not alarming because he tends to not eat in the morning & I picked him up around 11:40am. However, when I got him home & fed him, he ate TWO bowls of food & drank plenty water. It honestly seem as if he had not been eating at all. I’ve had my dog for 4 years & have NEVER seen him eat or drink so much in one sitting. For the sake of yourself & your pet, I’d recommend choosing another option for boarding. I feel as if my dog was left in cage, drugged up & starved for 3 days. It is not worth losing your dog or taking the chance of your dog getting extremely hurt when you are paying for their protection...
Read moreTomorrow will be one week since we picked up my lab and my daughters dog from.PawPad.First of all I have never used this place before. It was recommended by a friend when my reg boarder had no openings 3mths in advance. The practice of only having one pickup time on Saturday should be changed. Most people that go on vacation cannot get back to Georgia after checkout somewhere at 10am to.pickup pets by noon.My reg boarder has 2 pickup times on sat.in am then again 3:30 til 6.Paw pad said they had no one to work desk after 12.We even asked to pay in advance to meet someone there for pickup. AGAIN answer was no.I didn't feel comfortable leaving them ,just felt so cold uncaring.I asked if they could send pics like other boarder, they said only daycare dogs and I could pay extra if I wanted to include her in that..i said no.But someone nice did send pics of them on the 5th day there which i called and thanked them for.i called twice asking how they were the girl said she was working c the small dogs but I heard someone in background said loudly "They're fine!" Sounded so reassuring.Well when they were picked up Monday am they were panting so badly thought it was just anxiety.when they got home they acted like they hadn't had water in a long time.they drank and drank and drank.they had to be dragged away from water bowls. We all thought they looked thinner.so we weighed them .my lab had lost 4 lbs and my daughters dog lost 3lbs.I had sent 12 cans of Purina one and 3 bags of treats, for a 10 day stay actually 9 and half days cause they didn't get there until after 1 on a Friday.i received no dog food or treats back.My.lab was supposed to be fed half can and half can pm.With no dog food sent back i don't know why she lost weight. No problem with other boarder with wt loss....I pd extra for bath and toenail cut the back claws were cut but the front paws only had 2 nails cut on each side.the rest were untouched. My lab is crate trained and when I went to work next am she was terrified to go.in crate acting scared and nervous. When my husband let her out she had watery diarrhea with blood which continued for 4 days.i called vet right after she started and they said could have boarding anxiety.Vet said if bleeding got worse she will need an antibiotic. She got better on special rice boiled ckn diet. She was also hand shy for a couple days and was a little skittish which is not her personality. She is a big loving kissy lab that likes to sleep on your lap They both acted like they had post traumatic stress disorder.Again NEVER any issues with our regular boarder. They are always so happy there and they sent pics a few times of them.playing outside . I already scheduled them 1 yr IN ADVANCE at their reg boarder. I cannot recommend PawPad to board maybe it's OK for daycare. The small concrete kennels are depressing .At the other place they had big separate indoor outdoor runs.Couple of employees nice and others seemed cold and not compassionate.Seemed like they didn't enjoy their jobs. I appreciate them having a place to stay but I am sorry to say they...
Read moreThis was a mediocre experience for a luxury price. Every year my sisters and I save up to board our dogs while we are away for the week. We have two small dogs and one big dog. We look for nice places to board them because they are our fur children. I found the paw pad and fell in love with the site saying the dogs fall asleep to jazz music and a treat on their pillow. I wanted my babies to experience this luxury while we were away. I called to set up an appointment and got the automated message so I left a message and they called me back a few hours later. I called again about the pricing, but my voicemail about the price was not returned. It was not a big deal at the time because we were thinking about $600 at the most because we usually pay $400 when we board them at the vet. We felt justified in choosing the pet hotel because it is advertised as a more luxurious experience, seeing as how they claim to walk them and spoil them. Pricing was no longer a concern for us as that point because their advertisement was the service we wanted. Anyways when we went to drop them off, the customer service was not rude but also not friendly. They presented a rushed, “hurry up, drop them off” kind of vibe. Flash forward to when we go pick them up, the staff member checked the price and asked her coworker if the total was correct? The coworker saw the prices and attempted to see if we could qualify for a military or medical discount. Still unknowing of the price and in hopes of easing their worry, my sister assured them that we knew it would be a bit more expensive because we had three dogs for a week long stay. We were beyond surprised when the lady wrote down $755! This was just a week long stay. This price did not include nor come with any grooming services or anything extra. So now we have definitely decided to scrutinize more carefully about the actual care and well being of our dogs. Our two little dogs smell strongly of urine, my lab has the patches of hair loss on his elbows that come from him lacking proper exercise and movement, which can only lead us to believe he’s been laying on the ground all day. For a bill of $800, this service is absolutely unacceptable. If I wanted them to lay in a cage all day in urine I would’ve left them alone at home. At least at the vet kennel they offer to board them, walk them regularly, and they gave them a bath all for half of the price we paid in hopes of luxury. Now I’m left to having to wash them again because they smell horrible, although it should be noted that they were groomed BEFORE we even left them at the pet hotel... more like pet motel. Again, the price was not the concern, but if we were supposed to “get what we pay for” then I’m sorry, but y’all are too expensive for this bare minimum service. I had to express our difficulties but this was just our first and...
