I have been going to the Beverly Rd location since Oct of 2022. Normally I go with my sister, she books the appointment and we get the same ladies. My go to girl is Demy and she does a fantastic job. The first time I had her for my nails, I will admit I was nervous. It was my first time ever doing the nail dip with extension. The dremel felt very close to my skin, so close I could feel the heat from the spinning and I was so scared she would cut me but she is a true professional, she never cuts me and my nails always look fresh and last for weeks. On my birthday she did a great job drawing a black snowflake onto a white nail ( I only get dark colors but I decided to get one white nail with a black snowflake on each hand for the Christmas season). Recently I had to go by myself for the first time but I was going in as a walk in. I went to my normal location but they were closed for repairs and had a sign suggesting to go to their second location. So back in the car I go, I went to the second location and it was busy, but they were able to fit me in. I gave them my name/number, and waited to be seen. I had my nails done by a nice man but to be honest it wasn't the best job, he seemed like he was off his game ( he cut one finger, cut my actual nails oddly, and did the dip differently than I'm used to), but I could tell he was trying his best. I paid and left knowing that it wasn't what I'm used to but I didn't think to make an appointment, so I knew was rolling the dice. The next day at work my nails began to chip, so I called, spoke with the manager and he was so kind. He arranged for an appointment around my schedule and cover the charges. I should have asked for Demy but I didn't. I walked in for my a appointment and bam I get the same guy. He walks me over to the pedicure section and he informs me they dont have a table available for me but he will do my nail dip here. I went with it and boy was it worth it. I was skeptical at first but the chair was so relaxing that I had to keep looking around to not fall asleep. I'm a mom of 4 and getting a free message while having my nails done was so relaxing, much better than sitting at the table. My nails this time around turned out so much better. I'm happy with the services and I'm grateful for how generous they were about the redo. I did learn that once you find a great nail artist, stick with them. So I probably wont roll the dice again and will loyally stick to Demy. If you have a non pleasant please reach out kindly ( remember we all have bad days or days where we cant give it our all or our minds are elsewhere) and they will own up to it and make it right. This is honestly is the best nail salon I have...
Read moreI have been a regular here for over a year! To start off, let me say that I am likely one of the pickiest women in the world. I want my shape done in a very specific way, and I have a thyroid condition that affects my nails and their strength. I am super sensitive about how they are done or it is painful for me. Most places in the past have treated me negatively when I try to explain my concerns, rush me, or simply do not understand the message I am trying to convey. This salon is the first salon to get my nail shape right. Not only that, but my nail technician consistently remembers my exact shape and delivers it to me every. single. time. I come in usually every 2-3 weeks to get my SNS treatment. I am remembered by name, and I have brought in my equally fragile grandmother here as she has the same thyroid condition as me. The young man who gave her a massage was actually able to let my nervous grandmother relax- an accomplished feat. They truly listened to our needs. I saw other reviews that said their needs were not met, I really think anywhere you go for your nails you should speak up because most people are not mind readers. For sure most good businesses want to make their customers happy, and at Kosmo I know they listen and care. Furthermore, they have raised their prices but this is clearly listed on the entrance door and throughout the salon.Remember during COVID salons/restaurants are forced to have reduced staff and client occupancy, but the rent the businesses have to pay is still the same. Kosmo has put in extra money to install clear dividers with slots for the hands for the safety of its clients and employees. They have gone above and beyond keeping their salon clean. I will continue to support...
Read moreI had a good experience at the Chesterbrook location so I decided to try this one out because it’s a bit closer. They’re nice people but if I had to review based on the quality of service I got, this is what I would say.
Pros: they’re nice and offered refreshments
Cons: the toe nails are crooked the nails were not filed enough so there were sharp edges left for three of the toes the Chesterbrook location was more thorough and cleaned the cuticles and underneath the nails some nail polish was left on the skin of my left pinkie toe started late due to backed up appointments
I waited around to see if I could ask anyone to fix the issues but everyone was busy and my person had already started doing nails for another client. Also I had to leave because I had another thing to go to. Based on my one experience at this location, I don’t think I’ll be returning, which is a shame because it’s close to my home. I paid $39 just to be re-cutting and filing my nails at...
