After going to countless big chain jewelers where I was unable to find the customer service I needed for the right ring, and at a competitive price, I found myself at Diamond Creations. I was greeted at the door by Mr. Harry and his wonderful sister, and they immediately made me feel more like family than a customer. I was there to shop for a ring for my girlfriend of 3.5 years, and had an idea in my head of what I wanted. I needed her birthstone, and wanted my favorite flower (sunflower) to be involved somehow. After showing me a few rings, he brought one out that took my breath away. It was a perfect match. Gratefully, he was able to adjust to my price range and I purchased it on the spot, leaving his shop with a perfect ring and a new friend. After giving it to her, it was a little large, so I returned for resizing. He completed the resizing within 20 minutes and I was out the door without any problems. This awful experience happened years ago, but I was reminded of it recently and feel compelled to share it. After proposing to my fiancée with a diamond engagement ring of high clarity and color that was passed down in my family, we left it with Diamond Creations for fitting alterations. Days later, we returned and tried it on. My fiancée immediately noticed the yellow color of the diamond. When we pointed it out, the owner (Harry?) said "the heating of the alteration process might have left a residue." He suggested we leave it with him again so he could try to fix it. Days later, we returned and, like magic, the diamond was no longer yellow. Was the original diamond changed out and then put back? We'll never know for sure, but let's just say we were highly suspicious.
