I came here with my mother a few weeks ago as we have done off and on for 20 years. The last time however, we were harassed by who I believe was the owner. My mother caught his attention and so he took it upon himself to interrupt our dinner several times to talk to her. A mom out to dinner with her daughter wearing a wedding ring, was being hit on by some old man who kept saying “I like pretty women” and “ I just got divorced”. We were actually so uncomfortable and shocked we didn’t know what to do. Not to mention he leaned over her to speak which I attached in a photo I took below. He then after interrupting us for the 3rd time came over with the massive dessert situation as a “wooo” for my mother, which was entirely unwanted. I can’t express how unprofessional and truly disgusting his behavior was. LEAVE WOMEN ALONE! WHO the hell wants to go out to eat with their child and get bothered like this? The dessert presentation was cringy and actually embarrassing for us because it was unwarranted and only to impress her not to mention it got the whole restaurant looking at us. He then expected this big thank you? As if we should be thanking him HIM for harassing us and giving us unwanted attention. After 20 years I can say we won’t be back! I’m truly disgusted by the man’s behavior even if he thought it’s okay, it’s 2023 he should know it’s not. I could also tell some of the other men in the establishment thought it was weird to and said nothing.

Roundup to 4 stars! Pistachio cake is really good today! Also like the mixed Seafood pasta & veal! 👍👍 (2/15/2025) Since moving to the area in 1998, I have been indulging in authentic Italian cuisine at what is now Italian Oven—still in the same location, with the same menu and the same skilled chef, though under new management and a previous name. Today, I had the pleasure of savoring their calamari linguine, offered with two distinct sauces: a delicate white wine sauce and a classic marinara. The dish was executed flawlessly—the calamari was tender, the pasta cooked to a perfect al dente, and both sauces delivered their own charm. Whether you prefer the light, aromatic notes of the white wine sauce or the bold, comforting richness of the marinara, you truly can't go wrong.

I hate to give any place a bad review, but they can't fix what they don't know. You see this spaghetti? $10 each tray. 10 dollars for a kids spaghetti. Yes, that half-filled bowl of spaghetti with butter was 10 bucks, and the sad sight next to it was another 10. It's in a to-go tray because they failed to get me and my kids food within the 45 minute window I had before I had to go pickup another kid, which I told them about upon arrival. Maybe it was really busy you say? There were two other tables with a total of 3 people in the whole restaurant. It was a complete failure of service and a huge disappointment all around. Scratch another McLean restaurant off the list.

I gave this place another chance after avoiding it for over a year, and it was a mistake I’ll never make again. I even removed my previous 1-star rating. I won’t be removing this one, though.

Over the years, I’ve sent thousands of dollars in business their way, yet when I’ve dealt with the owner directly, I was treated as if I hadn’t contributed to their success. The service remains subpar, the food overpriced, and their inability to charge a card correctly is baffling.

This evening, I ordered a steak panini and sent a colleague to pick it up. Minutes later, I received a notification from Amex for nearly $50—more than triple what it should have been. This isn’t the first time they’ve mishandled payments, and clearly, they’ve done nothing to improve. Voided the original charge, charged my card again – just unprofessional to say the very least.

I fully expect the owner, Salvatore, to respond here with the same generic excuses: “What happened? This doesn’t sound right. We’ve been in business since the 1980s,” or something equally dismissive. But excuses won’t fix the glaring issues or the repeated disappointments.

This time, I mean it: NEVER again. Not only will I not return, but I’ll make sure others know about the consistent shortcomings of this place. If you value good service, fair pricing, and respect as a customer, save yourself the hassle and go...

Horrible experience! I wanted to try this place because it’s new. I made $100 order online (on their website!) for delivery. After 45 minutes, they cancelled order. I called. They said they don’t have Internet service. (Who offers online ordering on their website without Internet service?) They wait for the Door Dash person to arrive to tell them the order and then they start making the order! (They blamed the Door Dash driver for not being able to tell them my order to explain why they cancelled. Again, why have online ordering on your website?) On top of that, they charged my credit card!! I called back, and they said that’s not their fault and I have to figure out how to get a credit from their platform. No customer service or accountability. Always blamed others. No offer to make things right. There are too many good pizza places in the area for me to give them...
