UPDATED 3/22/19: After this review was posted, I was able to connect with Michelle (owner of Lazy Daisy). She immediately reached out to both me and my mom and rectified the situation. Unfortunately the phone messages left over the two weeks prior to the review did not make it to her. Once Michelle was aware of the situation she went out of her way to correct the mischarge and graciously offered a discount to encourage us to return to her shop. She could not have handled this tough situation better and because of Michelle's customer service, we will be back to Lazy Daisy to shop again. *Just wanted to share how incredibly disappointed I am with the poor customer service my mom has received since our last shopping trip to Lazy Daisy. We have frequented this store many times - in fact it is a shop my mom had always insisted on visiting whenever she is in town. We went shopping together on 2/17 and my mom purchased 4 small side tables in addition to other pieces. Once home, we received the emailed receipt and noticed a ringing error - she was overcharged for one of the tables she purchased. No problem - we assumed this would be an easy error to correct. Since that date she has called and left multiple messages with various staff members (all assuring that the owner would be alerted and someone would call back) and has sent several emails. It has now been 2 and a half weeks and no one from Lazy Daisy has responded via email or phone. To say we are disappointed with this level of customer service is an understatement. This should have been an easy mistake to correct - and you would have kept loyal customers. Instead, we do not plan to return and will not recommend this shop to others. So much of running a successful business is dealing with mistakes when they occur (and they always will) - it seems to me that being responsive to customers when mistakes happen is critical to long-term success. I hope that this will be a learning experience for the Lazy Daisy team...
Read moreI lived in Mechanicsville for over 10 years before I ever stepped foot in this store. I thought it was just furniture and household decor. There is so much more! Various vendors offer clothing, jewelry, soap, purses, art, and pantry items, to mention just some of the treasures. The store has a friendly, open vibe and makes me happy to just be there. Disclaimer: I liked it so much that I'm...
