Before I begin, it's important to note that I have visited countless Starbucks locations all across the U.S., and the experience I just had, is by far the worst. Allow me to explain.
After I had paid for my drink, I informed the employee that I'd like it made with coconut milk. She then stated that she couldn't make it with coconut milk, since it was an upcharge of $.80 cents. I then handed her my card for her to place a subsequent $.80 cent charge, however she claimed that she wasn't allowed to place a 2nd charge.
At this point, she was clearly disturbed, since she didn't want to make my drink with coconut milk, because she wanted to upcharge for it. She then paused for a couple of seconds to think, and hesitantly (and grudgingly) said, "Ok, I'll make a one time exception this time," as if she was doing me a favor!
Again, I told her that she could charge my card for the upcharge, but she was adamant she couldn't, since it's 'considered a modifier.' (And, according to this employee, it's not allowed to be added if the customer has already been charged.)
I then said, "That sounds like a technical system issue," since it was clear she was trying to pass the blame onto me, and I wasn't about to let that happen.
As she completed my drink without adding whip cream, I pointed out that she 'forgot' to add whip cream. I had made this abundantly clear when placing the order. She then knowingly stated I never asked for it, which, was an outright lie. It was clear she was trying to be difficult, but she didn't stop there!
She then switched the tops to accomodate the room needed for the whip, but only added about 30% of what is normally dispensed. Not to mention she had a terrible attitude, and it was very sloppy.
I then asked her to fill the whip to the top, to which she replied, "Some of the whip went down," (into the drink) implying she had dispensed the proper amount, and wasn't going to add anymore. At this point, I had had enough, and told her to, "Fill it up!", which she refused to do, stating she couldn't put her nozzle in my drink. Clearly, this was yet another attempt on her part to be even more difficult, as if her previous attempts were not sufficient. Rather than argue, I told her she could give me a separate cup of whip cream, which, unsurprisingly, she also refused to do!
Having just paid $7 for the drink, I told her to get the store manager. The manager came over, I explained the aforementioned, and she offered to provide extra whip in a separate cup, which she did.
In all of my 1000+ visits to Starbucks all over the U.S., this is unequivocally, the worst experience I have ever had. To be fair, the other employees at this location have always been very nice, however, there is absolutely no excuse for the way the employee acted. (Who claims to be the top manager)
If you happen to be in the area, I highly suggest to avoid this Target location, and to visit the stand-alone starbucks at 7297 Battle Hill Dr b, Mechanicsville, VA 23111, which is less than a half a mile away from this...
Read moreI have NEVER had a good experience at this starbucks. The employees are ALWAYS rude and don’t even seem like they even want to be there. Most of the time you walk up to order they don’t even speak or acknowledge you. I asked for a straw and the girl working rolled her eyes and tossed it to the side. I said thank you and she didn’t say anything because I guess I had bothered her SO much at her job. I decided to yell you are welcome so she knew i was frustrated. Just really rude and poor customer service I will drive up the road to the stand alone store or VCC just to avoid...
Read moreStarbuck needs to come out with a joint that is not sweet. I see this for the diabetics. Because they need to have the opportunity to drink something is not loaded with sugar. And is there was need to follow the directions of the customer. Also noticed now all service do that and then when they have to make the drink again this attitude but it's basically their fault because they didn't...
