he sales department is fantastic and always very helpful. But, the general manager (Coy) has not honored promises to me. Here is the situation. I basically got sold a lemon and can't get a loaner car. My car has been returned to this dealership 3 times for repair for mechanical issues all covered by my warranty. I purchased a beautiful blue Ford Mustang convertible from them. I purchased a warranty and the gap insurance. Within days, the car began having mechanical issues. If the car sat for a long period of time like a standard 8 hour work day, it would crank. If I stopped to pump gas or buy groceries, my car would not crank. Many times it had to be jumped off by roadside. However, the battery or the fuel level were never the problem. I returned the car at least 3 times for repair and once it was sent to a local Ford dealer for repair. When we picked the car up for the final time, it continued to malfunction. Then, I got rear-ended the day before I was supposed to return the car for the another repair. When the collision work was was done, I was supposed to return my car for the additional mechanical repair and get a loaner car. I was later told by the GM Coy that my car would have to be sent to a different Ford dealership for repair and he denied me a loaner car. I was told I would have to go through my warranty (after diagnostics) that I would have to rent a car for $35 per day, meaning I would have to pay for rental upfront and then be reimbursed up to $35 per day. Their other dealership in Cocoa gave me a loaner car for about a day, but then the GM Coy overrode Cocoa and had me return the loaner car, leaving me stuck with my mechanically unreliable car. This has cost me money at work in terms of leave (late arrivals or early departures). And, it is making me look very bad as employee because it is giving the impression that I, as an individual am unreliable (rather than understanding it is my car that is unreliable. I no longer have any any accrued leave time left, so I am losing money as we speak. Again, I do not fault the sales staff because they have gone out of their way to be helpful at times. The worst part, is I am still paying for a car the I cannot consistently drive. It has been in the shop for repair more times than I have driven it. It is just sitting in my driveway taking up space right now, all the while I am still making payments. i feel like the most fair thing to do would be for Coastal Hyundai to at least offer me a loaner vehicle until mine is repaired or until it is replaced. The salesman and service department have been understanding. It is only the GM Coy that has made this much harder on me than it needed to be and allowed this to affect my salary and harm my professional reputation for all the times I was late to work due to car issues or all the times I had to leave early to return my car to the service department. Be very cautious when dealing with GM Coy because he has certainly not kept his word to me. He will not even reply to my text messages or phone calls as we speak evening though I've basically begged him on my knees to just at least give me a loaner car so I can commute safely to and from work until the mechanical issues are fully repaired. I am in tears constantly because this is causing a great disruption to my job, my professional, reputation, and to my and husband and myself's personal finances. Again, I am not asking for anything other than a loaner car. GIven that Coastal Hyundai of Melbourne sold me the vehicle, the very least that GM Coy could do is give me a loaner or assistance with rental because they...
Read moreThis is an update to my original review. Sadly, I had to change it from 5 Star to 2. While my initial experience with the dealership was positive, and was the foundation for the initial 5 star review, there has been a serious event, making a change necessary. The 2025 Hyundai Tuscon Limited was a wonderful car that had great styling, an abundance of features, and rode comfortably. Unfortunately, Hyundai puts a "safety" feature in their vehicles now that I was not made aware of. It is a cabin camera that monitors the driver's face to determine if he/she is alert and paying attention to the road. If the camera detects eye movement away from the road, or can't see the entire face, or can't see both eyes, or if the driver indeed diverts attention, it will shut down the cruise control, lane following assist, and lane keep assist. This is exactly what happened to me. While in traffic, on the interstate, the smart cruise control was shut off. I tried turning it back on several times, but each time it was deactivated again. I even tested it by keeping my hands at 10:00 and 2:00, keeping my head looking straight ahead, and turned on the cruise. It was shut off in about 40 seconds. When I took the car to the dealer they determined there was nothing wrong with the car, and everything was working as it should. The service department gave me two bulletins published by Hyundai, describing possible causes for this happening. Among them are: (1) Driver diverting eyes from the road, (2) Wearing dark tinted sunglasses, (3) Wearing polarized sunglasses, (4) Wearing some prescription eye wear such as anti-glare coated lenses, (5) Sitting too close to the steering wheel, (6) Sitting too far away from the steering wheel. None of these applied to me. I do however have an astigmatism in one eye that causes it to not focus with the other. Could the camera be sensitive enough to detect that and determine I am not looking at the road? Did Hyundai test that? I don't know, so I asked that specific question in emails to both Hyundai Corporate and Coastal Hyundai. I have not received any reply, or even acknowledgement of my concerns from either one. By the way: Coastal Hyundai was the second dealer to tell me it was working properly. The first dealer replaced the forward looking camera, which had nothing to do with the problem I was experiencing. I will not drive a car, especially a brand new one that has a cruise control system that can't be used. The total lack of communication, or even concern over issues is the reason for the rating change. BEWARE when looking at new vehicles. Make sure they DO NOT have a cabin camera that monitors the driver's alertness. Sadly, after driving KIA and Hyundai vehicles for more than 20 years I had to move on. I have a 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan, and absolutely love it. It is even far more rich in features than Hyundai, and NO CABIN CAMERA! Very knowledgeable, professional staff. I explained my objectives in advance, concerning the specific vehicle, cost, financing, and trade value, and they did not "waste" my time with endless negotiating with different dales staff to arrive at our mutually agreed deal. The process was very streamlined. All features and functions of the vehicle were thoroughly explained. I have interacted with the service department, and they have been courteous, professional, accommodating, and efficient. I would definitely recommend Coastal Hyundai. If you're considering a new vehicle,...
Read moreI don't know where to begin. I bought a 2022 Tucson and was advertised as CPO. It was anything but CPO. After the first week I was taking a long trip & needed to put the rear seats down. All well & good until I wanted to put them back up. The seat was broken (keep in mind CPO). Took 2 months with numerous bring your car back we have the part. They finally replaced the seat. Then the infotainment system went south, that had to be replaced. I went into have the transmission checked, couldn't get the car in reverse & it was making a loud clunking noise. I was told it was my battery, they replaced that with a cost of 426.00 buck for a battery ? I asked how old the battery was, they claims they couldn't see a date ? A factory battery ? No date. THe offered to have me take the battery for $25.00 bucks, nah all set. Then after the battery was replaced is ISG was enabled. Never had to press any button to turn that feature off. The car is now randomly shutting down without being at a complete stop (safety issue). My son witnessed it. Also the AEB ( Emergency Braking ) warning light is coming on & the car is braking with no one around around me. (Another safety issue.). I've had the vehicle for 1.5 years now & have put 11k miles on it. Went to have my tires rotated for a long trip coming up & the tires were all dry rot. Come to find out the born date on the tires were 2020. Hmmm how did 2020 tires get on a 2022 vehicle. Obviously the tires were swapped out for rotted tires and they glossed them all up with Armor All or whatever product they use to make them look shiny & new. I'm now sure of the battery which looked to be about 10 years old not 3 from a brand new car 3 years prior and was part of parts being swapped. This car was advertised as CPO & I would expect it to have been gone over with a fine tooth comb. I went back to speak to my sales person & he was gone, & this was only 2 weeks later. I also questioned the hard water spots all over the car, body & all the glass & was told, "oh that's because we didn't dry it off with a shammy cloth". I took it to a car detailer & the hard spots are imbedded in the paint & the class & will need an acid manual detail to get ride of spots Presenting a vehicle as CPO is know as deceptive & auto fraud which I believe is what happened on this sale. I''ve called to speak to Sales Manager, no return phone call. My car has been in the shop at least a half dozen times with issues & safety issues in the past 1.5 years. If I have the radio on & hear a bell or a ring I panic thinking its another warning signal. I could afford to get rid of this car I would in a second. First used car I ever bought & will be my last. Please do your do diligence when looking for a car especially CPO. I would run ,not walk away from this dealership. They obviously weren't honest, especially with dry rotted tires on a 2022 vehicle and has 2020' tires. I smell a swap. God only knows what else will break or cause more safety issues. Thank God I have a 2nd vehicle as my...
