BITS COMPUTER SAVES CHRISTMAS!!!
Bought a really good-priced used motherboard/CPU combo from a reputable vendor on ebay for a budget build piece-and-part gaming setup for my daughter's Christmas present.
Christmas Eve: Put everything together with a computer-savvy friend. No LED. Would not post. Tried everything. He advised I send the board back.
Reached out to the ebay seller who assured me the item was sent in working order but they would gladly pay for the return.
Since the build was designed around the MOBO/CPU combo, the whole gift was on hold indefinitely until I could manage to find and order replacements that were within my limited budget...
The entire situation ruined my Christmas gift.
Was pretty bummed.
Day After Christmas: On a whim, I took the board in to Bits to make sure we weren't missing something...
After I explained the situation, Matt promptly took a look at it and, in moments, isolated the issue and rectified it (bent CPU pins).
I took it back to my computer friend and, this time, the build went flawlessly and everything ran like a charm!
I was able to give it to my daughter immediately.
Though Bits' service fee was nominal, the happiness I see on my daughter's face is absolutely priceless!
Customer care of this quality is an increasingly rare commodity.
Perhaps this is why Bits is still in business after 30 years...
Just want to say... Matt is "The Man!"
And...
Bits Computer did, indeed, save Christmas!
Thank You,...

My wife's laptop had a "The User Profile Service failed the logon" error message. I was out of town so she took the laptop to Bits Computer. They told her it was probably a virus and it would take 2-3 days for them to fix it. I called about 48 hours after they received it and was told they had not even looked at it because they were "too busy" and it would take another 2-3 days. The person on the phone was extremely rude, so I decided it was time to take my business elsewhere.
I retrieved the laptop, turned it on, saw the error message, and typed the error message into Google. It appears this is a common problem as Microsoft had published a very detailed article about this on their support site. I followed the instructions and 20 minutes later the PC was up and running. I then scanned the computer for viruses. No virus was present.
Bits readily took my wife's computer but did absolutely nothing because they were "too busy". They wrongly assumed it was a virus, when in fact it had a common problem. As a result of their sub-par service, the laptop sat in a box for two days untouched. Bits set an unrealistic expectation just to capture the business. Obviously they don't need the business, so I suggest you...
Read moreBits Computer's Owner and Matt were great. I put together a PC build with hidden wires (Asus "BTF" motherboard) where the wire connections are in the back of the motherboard. I am a Total Member at Best Buy and could have had my build done for free with the yearly paid membership that I hold. They also said it would take up to 2 weeks to build. I had my PC parts there for less than a few hours and I had a real bad feeling about the lack of professional actions. I decided to withdraw my build from Best Buy and did bring it to Matt who was much more experienced and gave me his time. Within one hour of checking in my PC parts with Matt, he called me and told me that my motherboard did not support the Asus Strix 4080 Super gpu card. If it would have been at Best buy they would have found this out in a 7-10 days and then called me to tell me that the components didn't work and then I would have waited to order another motherboard or GPU, then wait another 2 weeks for them to build it after to parts come in. Matt saved me 3 weeks of being without my PC and I was done in 2 days after waiting 2 days for the right GPU to be delivered. I will only trust my PC and laptop repairs with Bits Computer and Matt for now on. Thank you Matt & Bits Computer...
