If you're looking for authentic middle eastern groceries, I think this is your place. Full disclosure: I'm not middle eastern, and not knowledgeable on their groceries. But I lacked variety for my Easter dinner, and Cedar's was open on Easter Sunday. Very friendly proprietor answered all of my questions. Bottom line, I got to sample new foods I've never had before, including a potato filled bread which was very good (though quite spicy) and chick peas in a hard candied nougat that were really tasty. Another sweet dish was similar to baklava except made with crushed coconut. Honestly I like it better than baklava. While it’s a Mediterranean blend, they carry quite a few Persian essentials—and I’m so grateful for that. The owner is incredibly sweet and helpful. The store is small and a little tight on space, but their selection is huge and well-stocked. For mainly imported goods, the prices are very reasonable. Every time we go in we are treated like family and it feels like the owner build a community around its store. He always makes recommendations for products and always has fresh and high quality products. We have purchased everything from spices, to sweets to olives, cheese and many others.
