12/202024 8:50 Both checkouts #1 &#2 refused to give $32 change. I ended up leaving my cart and walking out.... AND JUST TO SHOW HOW MUCH THEY REALLY DON'T CARE THE FEMALE CASHIER FROM #1 YELLS "HAVE A NICE DAY" AS I'M LEAVING. First of all the far left isle was so absurdly full of junk, I mean way worse than the normal online orders, I just sort of looked at plotting my path. A single person without a cart could not have got through, I was climbing over scrap pallets with piles of Easysand dust 8" deep, random bails of insulation scattered around, shoving carts of trash aside, finally got to the hardi backer and shoved another full pallet of insulation aside. The whole time I'm thinking this is absurd, crazy, I'm like climbing through a trash dump, I can't believe they even let me do this for safety reasons.SO I GET TO CHECKING OUT... I wait in #2 that's having some issue with a customer, I'm called over to #1 by a female cashier, my total is $67 something, she says she has no change for $100. It's only $32 change? She yells at #2 who also says no change for $100. Female from #1 tells me I can go to self checkout. I thought about it a second like you got to be kidding me... first off all I know I can't get to self checkout, the isles are too full, I would have to load my sheets onto another cart upright, then futz with large sheets and a $100 bill at self check out? I said "no I'm not doing that. This store is crazy, the whole isle is full of junk, you don't have any money, I'll leave this in your junk isle and go somewhere else".

Previous review... I ordered a roll of wire online. It's available at the store but everything is locked up, they're under staffed, and it takes 20+ minutes to get help, not to mention the isles typically blocked or piled full of junk so you cant get to what you want. So, I order online and the put it in a locker so I can pick up a 4:30am with no traffic on the way to work. The lockers say 24hr pick up not available so it was a waste of time. I sit in traffic to get back over there at 5pm, open my locker, and once again it's a joke... roll of wire has been stabbed with a fork lift and insulation damaged deep into the roll. So I walk strait in and return it. No more in the store so it is now a SECOND wasted trip. And, I'm sure they'll try sell it again to someone else.

I'm a contractor, I'm forced to spend thousands and thousands here. Lately I'm averaging 2 out of 3 online orders they give you damaged trash and it's a total waste of time. I've got caulking tubes that are clearly busted open, screening spline that was scraps instead of the 300' bulk package I ordered, and the list goes on....

Rental has been no better.. tried to rent a boom lift... they charged me like $2,000 deposit and then not one of the lifts they had in the parking lot was functional with working tail lights. I connected to 3 different ones and then went down to palm bay where the issues continued with another $2,000 deposit and getting to the job site only to find the bucket controls didn't work... I spent 1/2 a day driving back and forth trying there busted up lifts while each time they guaranteed me they were all good and they maintained there items.

And then there's the constant removal of quality products from the store for cheep crap with a higher profit margin. Every year it gets worse. I hope we get some competition in the south soon, Menards,...

I was accused of stealing and breaking into cars after spending a couple hundred dollars in their store. I did absolutely nothing to indicate this.

I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Home Depot within the last 12 months. I always have a great attitude and know a lot of these guys on a personal level. I don't even work construction or nothing like that. I just buy things to literally have fun with them. for example I bought two of the most expensive rotary hammers to mount a TV A couple weeks ago. My point being I’m not broke scratching my neck with half a shirt on… i’m well dressed, spend lots of money and so far from tweakers lol.

My friend and I came in around 9 o'clock bored and wanted to go to Home Depot because it’s always fun buying new tools and saying hi to everyone. I PURCHASED chainsaw oil, nicest milwuakee headlamp, Cool porter bolt cutters, along with a couple other little things. The store closes so we checked out and then put everything in the car. Then we tested out our new lights and did laps around the parking lot just talking. Nowhere near any cars or anything of any value. There's nothing to even steal there. And it's not like we were walking around with headlamps and bolt cutters looking into cars. We were well-dressed taking laps, laughing, nowhere near cars. There was only a couple nice cars and they were ours.

Older manager Lady with shortish red curly hair approaches us yelling aggressively "what are you guys doing!!" And proceeds to accuse my friend and I of breaking into cars, stealing and threatening to call the police. I go to the store at least a couple times a week. I’m literally always so happy to go to Home Depot. It's always a great experience in there except for this one time. Super ridiculous. I just can't believe we were treated like that. I really feel so awful. Were one of their best customers and always super nice. I even got a gold star sticker today šŸ˜‚ āļø Especially with the amount of money I spend in the store. I should not be feeling awful when I leave. Basically telling me I’m some stupid broke tweaker thief ripping off peoples cars; I will never walk into Home Depot again feeling happy and excited like always. I Did not get loud or aggressive back with this person. I was honestly way too stunned to even say anything we just simply hopped in the Tesla and left. Like honestly, how ridiculous does this sound… Spend a couple hundred bucks and break into the cars in your parking lot using the stuff we just bought from your store. Like are you serious???? Like are u stealing???...

I wish there was more consistency with what Home Depot carries. Their vendors brands wish to promote different things and as a result hardware items and sizes are not always consistent with the pre-existing consumer repair demands. I repeatedly end up getting my hardware at Ace and online, because home Depot does not have consistently the same hardware sizes and types. That applies to tools as well. Home Depot has major brands of power tools that are no longer the same "quality" you have become familiar with, as they sold out to Chinese companies that are just making proprietary updates to batteries and tools that wear out and cannot be replaced with matching items, because for Home Depot they will only make that family of compatible products for a few weeks, then they will change the look of the tool line so that your battery won't match and you'll have to buy any "extra" batteries, for each individual tool rather than for that whole matched group. And a charger for each individual tool, because they are making them less interchangeable, just so that you will have to buy MORE other tools, each time any part breaks or wears out. There are extra cheaply made extra flimsy versions, sold at these big box ("discount") consumer tool stores. I closed my handyman business after 20 years because of continuing lowered quality materials and tools and 'purposeful' inconsistencies in styles, means that I can not deliver the quality that my customers have been used to receiving, without ordering my tools and materials online, rather than getting them locally, thereby GREATLY increasing the time and the cost to the customer, to get any job completed. "Home Depot" makes 'same day' job completion, mean low quality! I will not deliver such low quality, so I am forced to shop somewhere other...
