My family and I recently we back to our local Japanese hibachi restaurant which has always been a go too restaurant choice for us. We've dined here many times, and each visit has been nothing short of exceptional, consistently affirming why this place remains our top choice for a memorable dining experience. From the moment we walk in, we're greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. The staff here are incredibly welcoming, treating us like part of their extended family. Their attentive service and friendly demeanor create an inviting atmosphere that makes us feel right at home. The food is nothing short of spectacular. We love indulging in their sushi and hibachi combo meals, which are always fresh and delicious. The sushi is meticulously prepared, with each piece showcasing the chef's skill and dedication to quality. The flavors are fresh, and the presentation is always picture-perfect. The hibachi experience is equally impressive. Watching the skilled chefs perform their culinary magic right before our eyes is a treat in itself. Their dexterity, combined with a touch of humor, adds an entertaining flair to the meal. The ingredients are always fresh, and bursting with flavor. Whether it's tender steak, grilled chicken, succulent shrimp, or perfectly grilled vegetables, every bite is a delight. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the consistency in both food quality and service. No matter how many times we visit, we always leave with satisfied palates and happy hearts. It's a place where we can unwind, enjoy great food, and create lasting memories together as a family. This particular local Japanese hibachi restaurant has become a cherished spot for us. We wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.

I honestly don't know where to start! This is the first time since I started doing reviews that I've written one for a place that I'm very familiar with, rather than somewhere at least relatively new. I've come here for years. It's basically home away from home for my family. Every time we come there, we're welcomed with open arms. I've shown up after work when there's barely enough time to order, when I could barely afford to eat, when everywhere was packed and it was super busy. I never feel like a burden or an inconvenience. This place truly makes me feel right at home. I've sat in hibachi seating with friends and family and loved the show. The cooks are skillful and often quite cheerful, as well. I tend to sit "inside", though, away from the crowds and the fire, where there is usually space. The sushi chefs tend not to make themselves known, like silent artists, but they show themselves where it counts! (The dinner plate?) I've always viewed the waitresses there well, but I'm probably most familiar with Wendy, who's always nice and helpful. The interior is minimal, but very stylish, and really gives you the impression of traditional Japanese culture. I've had various meals there over the years, but my list of favorite items would be: matcha ice cream tempura, clear soup, the great kiss roll, shrimp tempura roll, and salmon hibachi.

How to ruin hibachi. Family ordered steak hibachi, salmon hibachi and sushi (salmon roll octopus and salmon roe). My steak was a bit tough and overdone. My daughter's salmon was plain. Both were smothered in terriyaki sauce and we couldn't finish it. Rather disgusting. Soup was just OK but salty, Salad was swimming in Ginger dressing. Fried rice was old and had foot odor. Sushi was old and dry, the roll was not even completely rolled with the very chewy and stale Nori seaweed wrap...the cheap stuff. You can get fresher sushi from the cooler in Publix. Server was somewhat rude, although the front hostess was great. Ambience is good, but I'll never be back. The only decent thing was the green tea! Wish I could get my $70 back!

The food was excellent. The hibachi chef was amazing! Our server was terrible! We took a party of 20 for a business holiday party. After the initial drink orders there was never an offer to take appetizer orders. The server came around and asked if we were ready to order our food. We all placed our orders. And ordered second drinks. 30 minutes later people were still waiting for their drinks from the bar. The first time the server blamed the bartender for the delay. The second time she got drinks wrong and forgot refills of a diet Pepsi and a water for 2 guests, she leaned down to 5 of us and whispered light heartedly, " maybe I should be writing this down." You think?!? You have a high profile company holiday party happening in front of you. Why weren't you taking notes in the first place with 20 guests. Then she never brought a dessert menu. She never offered a third round of drinks, which about 75% of our group were absolutely ready for. Several of our board members went without refills. 2 people waited 45 minutes for their second bar beverage. And the restaurant was only at maybe half capacity on a Wednesday night. The manager came through once and removed some empty glasses but thats it. Our plates stayed at our places beyond our exit. She brought individual checks for everyone when if she had only asked she would have known it was a company party and would all be on one check. She tried to serve a drink to the speaker during a holiday speech. Any service training would have told you to stand to the side and wait until he was done speaking out of respect. Then once the food was being prepared by the chef, she disappeared. She never came around with a pitcher of water. Several people ended up eating with nothing to wash it down with because of their empty glasses left unrefilled. It was awful service. Awful. Then!! When she finally brought back the combined check with all our food on it, she really hurt herself because she didn't charge for some of the meals and drinks, including drinks we DID receive. She took off the automatic 18% gratuity and would have made soooo much more if she had actually charged us for everything we ordered, and of course actually delivered them. She told one of the party that we had emptied their Bombay Saffire and Jack Daniel's and they didn't have anymore. Thought it would have been a really good place to open a restaurant and bar. But bad service and leadership will KILL a business. I do not recommend going here. Unless you like being neglected. Order it for take out. At least the cooks know what...

The food was good but the service was spotty. My husband had the filet mignon and chicken. I had the emperor with filet mignon, lobster, shrimp, and scallops. The steak was tender even though it was cooked well done and medium well. The chicken also had a nice flavor and was tender. The lobster and shrimp were a little rubbery but had decent flavor. The scallops were cooked very well and were tender. The salad was a bit watery but not the worst we've had. We've been to several different hibachi places since our favorite (takara in port orange) one is still closed due to the pandemic.

When we sat down and got our menus i opened up the menu and the first thing that happened was a drink sword fell out in front of me...ew. The menu below mine was sticky. I asked them if they wipe down menus between guests and they said no. With covid you really would think they would. They did bring me some antibacterial wipes which was appreciated and then wiped the table in front of me. The servers do keep their masks on around guests but they flocked together pulling their masks down to chat. I get it but they shouldn't do this in front of the restaurant. We didn't really get checked up on. I had to ask different servers for drink refills. The cook Lee was nice. He added "fireworks" to the usual volcano trick which was something I haven't seen before. He also made sure to cook my husbands food before mine as he has a shellfish allergy and i was getting shellfish and steak. So that was appreciated. A piece of my steak fell on the counter as he was putting the rest on my plate. No big deal, however he picked it up and placed it on top of my steak asking if I was ok with the 5 second rule...🙃 i was not. He said oh.... And then took it back off of my plate. So again the food was pretty decent but the service was less than desired. We may give them another shot but wait a bit...
