I had a fine experience here until today. I bought an engagement ring that turned out to be too big. I made sure to ask if there was any charge for getting a new one in a smaller size and was pleasantly assured no, without hesitation. So the ring comes in and it feels like it could be too big but I'm not sure because I do like it a bit loose. I am told it's no problem if I want to wear it for a bit again and call back if needed, again, pleasantly and without hesitation and with no mention of any potential fees or charges. I wear it for a week and come to the conclusion that I could go one more (half) size down. It's comfortable but it could be better. 2 (half) sizes would be too small for sure. When I call, the man on the phone suggests I come in to size my finger again to make sure we get it right this time, understandably. I explain to him what I explained above and assure him one more half size will be perfect. I get the impression he expects this wont be the last time, but he says okay and that they will order another, again with no mention of any potential charges. I go down to pick up the ring today and they tell me there is a $21 shipping charge. I am the type that refuses to be taken advantage of when I have been wronged by a company and I do not make frivolous complaints or demands. The first time I went into Stardust Jewelers, I was hunting for an engagement for my long time girlfriend. My girlfriend did not want a typical engagement ring, she wanted something that was unique and more symbolic of our relationship. Nicole helped me build a custom engagement ring which my new fiance loved. Then when it came to our wedding bands, my fiance and I had to go to Stardust Jewelers. When we went there they helped us pick out my wife's bands and helped her design a simple design for my band. When I bought the bands, they were a little too tight for my wife. When we went to Stardust Jewelers to see what could be done, Jim quickly fixed them and made them fit perfectly all in one visit. My husband proposed to me with a beautiful family heirloom that my mother kindly passed along to him. With her blessing we got the ok to reset and give it a more updated style that felt a lot more in line with my personal style and taste. Jim was a pleasure to work with on this project. He was so patient and explained all possible options and details to me. We were able to take a look at various styles with the simulation design software he has with a very nice large screen set up in the shop.
