I ordered a custom cake with whipped cream and she put buttercream instead. I gave the cake designer photos of what we’d like it to look like. I asked for whipped cream frosting with marble cake, the cake designer said they only have white whipped cream frosting. With the colors we wanted, she would have to use a spray color because when she uses dye on the whipped cream she said doesn’t turn out good. I said the spray was fine. She also said with the small details on the cake she would have to use buttercream, since the design only had small details I was fine with it. I come to pick it up and she says the sprayed frosting didn’t look right so she switched it all to buttercream with a small layer of whipped cream frosting underneath (that does nothing). If I would have known this I would have cancelled the entire cake. We didn’t want buttercream, the cake was way too sugary. Read moreI liked marketplaces selection of every category of food that was definitely impressive. The deli food is delicious and fresh. I absolutely love the bakery items whether it would be the cakes or pastries they have all been fantastic. The donuts are my favorite their outstanding the best in town. My only issues with Marketplace would be the prices are expensive and quite a bit above average. I really wish the customer service experience I had with the lady running the self-checkout would have been a lot better. I visited the store on March 7th around 5 p.m. she didn't say anything to me Culebra came up to my register and situated the baskets and the leftover receipts and bags. After that she just stood hovering over me without saying anything at all. As I was leaving I made sure I made eye contact with her and said thank you very much have a blessed day and she looked up and basically just said yeah. Matthew S. was standing at the register with his back to where the customer stands. He did not acknowledge I was there. The store was not busy. No words spoken by Matt while he was scanning the groceries. When Matt finally opened his mouth to answer a question I asked (more than once) about the machine not responding, he was rude and condescending.
