..i don't know what rooms you people, down below, are talking about, because my room was absolutely way better than i initially expected.
i am here while i wait for my apartment to be ready, and I'm a very simple guest, but nonetheless, my thoughts are this: *my king size bed room was extremely clean upon walking in. and i am very, very picky lol. the ONLY thing i could say was bad, was the chair in the corner, but i don't sit in chairs anyway (unless I'm at the Hilton lol), so it really didn't affect me that the chair was scribbled all over and, whatever. worse things in life.
been here for 10 days. haven't utilized bfast, because I just found out they had eggs and sausage the whole time lol. do, i will be trying bfast tmrw morning. the young lady at the front desk is very, very kind. once again, I'm a very easy guest, but I have to say, with minimal interacts with staff, she is absolutely fantastic!!!! i don't know if the gentleman that works a lot is the manager or owner, but he is super, super professional, he is very nice, and he personally made sure i had all my mail deliveries, AND he actually put deliveries in my room a few times. he is amazing. lastly, the housekeeper I had (I am super super clean so I have only had room service twice in 10 days), or at least the latest one of the two, literally, as i was walking down the hallway to my room, stopped me, sort of, and there was a language barrier, but, she basically told me i am a very good guest and she mentioned the $8 or $10 I left her both times, and then she mentioned it again (language barrier) because she was so thankful and she wanted to personally tell me thank you. i think that any customer service worker or representative, that identifies their guests, and made it a point to thank me and made it a point to suggest she was very surprised with just an $8-10 tip, should be absolutely valued. i really keep to myself during my stay, but i know that if i need anything, the manager or owner I talked about (above) would probably help in a second.

✔️internet? 5/10. (the ONLY thing I can ever complain about, and there's much more to worry about then the bad wifi I have in my room. maybe if I needed to work in my room I'd have a different opinion lol) 5-6/10
✔️immediate presentation of room, cleanliness, and comfort? 10/10.
✔️bed and mattress 10/10
✔️King suite? 10/10 (not going to give it a 9/10 like I normally would because of the crap wifi)
✔️female receptionist that recently moved to Wisconsin? 10/10. she is vivacious and very sweet.
✔️"older" gentleman with glasses that works front desk, not sure if he's a manager, or an owner....he could absolutely be one or the other, 11/10. he has been nothing but kind to me the few times i ran into him, and it meant a lot to me that he made sure my prescription delivery was safe in my room. he seems like a great guy, and those (2) staff representatives absolutely are fantastic at their position.
the maid? 10/10. (only have used twice)
location? (10/10)
pool? didn't use since they don't have adult hour lol
lastly, i think this super 8 should update their pictures on Wyndham's app, if you use their app. i haven't seen any other rooms, but mine was way more comfortable and way more attractive than the King suite led me to believe.
i would recommend this hotel even over the Hilton, here in Menomonie, which I know sounds crazy, but my room was very, very clean, i felt safe (which is my #1 concern), the staff, with little interactions i had, were extremely kind, and very caring and attentive. i originally made a reservation for a few days, and I decided to extend my stay here (omg so much money I have spent lol), vs go to another competing hotel nearby. the only thing missing during my stay was company with me hahaha, and, i am very, very strict upon where i go, based on the event or occasion. i can't say too many good things about this chain, but i can definitely tell you this is the best, and most comfortable super8 i have dtwhed at. Read moreThis may be long but it will be worth the advice. I dont usually write reviews like this. I like to stay positive and i enjoy giving credit where credit is due. This was awful. We were promised a certain rate by the hotel general manager. When we arrived we were charged 20$ more. When I spoke with the manager she informed me that she never would have offered that price. I explained to her that it was me she had spoken with and I had made it clear that we would be booking another hotel for the night if we did not receive the discounted price we had for the other nights we already had booked. I explained again to her that we would be arriving somewhere near midnight and wouldnt bother with the cost of the whole day unless it were discounted. Being the price for half a day would be significantly less if we chose to arrive a 9 am the next morning. She pretended that we had never had that conversation. I was not very happy but seeing it was midnight and we had two sleeping children in our vehicle , we accepted it for what it was. When I left the lobby I noticed the pool was down, which she had never bothered to mention in any of our conversations, even though I had told her on the phone that the kids had been looking forward to swimming. When I asked her about the pool she informed me it had not been working for a few days already and she had no idea when itwould be ready for use again. I then asked why she had not mentioned it at all to us. At this point she began to raise her voice even louder than before. I was being yelled at by her and I was a bit shocked. I asked her to calm down and stop speaking that way to me. She continued to yell at me , as I was asking if there could be a discounted price since the pool was not working . in hopes that we could use that money to find a public swimming area to take the kids. She would not listen to anything i had to say, as she could not hear me over her own voice i am sure. I told her she was making me uncomfortable and that id like to speak with her supervisor. She then tells me that she is her own boss, there is no one above her. I said ok , may I please have your owners business contact phone number or email. She then yells that she refuses to give me any contact info and will just cancel our reservations all together. In the middle of the night in a cold rainstorm with two children , three and a half hours from home the day I had an intestinal procedure done. This woman was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had , maybe ever. I walked out of that lobby with tears in my eyes. But we took our business to the Best western just around the block, and oh my goodness , what an absolutely night and day difference. We are so thankful we found them, they will be getting a five star review from us. Unlike this awful place. I would not ever recommend this...
Read moreThis place is absolutely the worst place to choice. The desk clerk is family of the owner and they do not care How they treat you. My husband had to get allergy medication 10 minutes after our arrival. The while place smells like smoke lord knows what else. We took pictures of the second room due to the all the things that were not working, the smell of the refrigerator and the unclean environment, the rude desk clerk, reluctantly switched us to a different room, which was absolutely no better than the first. As we were trying to find another room, my husband had to go outside as he was having a hard time breathing. We asked several times for the managers name and contact information and did noy provide. My son also got a headache and had to take some medication which I believe the smell in the room and hotel caused him this headache. This place is by far the most unprofessional, unclean and unhealthy environment we have ever been. We will be contacting the health department and inspectors as the pool had vomit in it, old candy set out as a gift to guests. The owner and anyone else related to the owner who writes positive things about this place should all be ashamed of themselves. One last thing... when the owner has business meetings he has them stay at another hotel due to the filth he offers to others. My husband has still been having a hard time breathing since entering this place. Oh and even with all of this they refused to refund our money. However, we for sure not staying there. So we finally found another hotel and were settled in after 2 hours of stress. The emplouee and owner did bot care about the fact my husband was having breathing issues, however, they may wish that they would have as it might end up costing them more than the amount of the nasty hotel room they made us pay for and wouldn't refund. We have pictures as well as the receipts for the medication and if he or anyone else has to go to the doctor after being exposed to whatever was in this hotel, we will for sure the owner of this place is held accountable for their negligence, lack of concern, false advertising and...
