Our waitress says she is a manager when she doesn't have a name tag stating that clearly as they typically do. The "Manager" also being our waitress seemed nice but would be talking very loudly in the back badly based on us, HER CUSTOMERS. We got seated immediately but to even order waited half an hour because she was in the back talking and NOT working as she should. There were dirty tables all around us and two other separate groups complaining about how they are doing there job. Very disappointing that every plate we purchased was incorrectly made or was missing items. We had four plates total, each all having a problem. One plate was very incorrect and came with sausage rather than chicken as asked, we asked to get it fixed and it came back another half hour later to be extremely salty. So I asked to get it taken off of my bill since I am clearly not eating it and get told that "Yes of course we can take that off the bill" half hour goes by and she tells us that we can only get 20 percent off because that is what her "general manager" says they can give. First off we get told that she is the manager (no manager tag) + we get told that she's actually been working there for five days... We then are over waiting because even after two and a half hours of sitting here for our food and listening to our waitress and there "manager" bad talk her customers loud and clear. So we get up and are prepared to pay, we mention that they are very loud in the back as we can clearly hear her bad mouthing us and that we would like to speak with her general manager since we got told she was in the back. Her "general manager" was apparently speaking with her over the phone from home as she says. Which is strange since all we heard was her constantly talking in the back with the other workers, strange? At this point we just want to leave so we pay the bill and end up not getting our at least 20 percent off. Very upset with the service and workers for how they treat there customers. Recently, my youngest sibling, my only brother passed away. That in and of itself has no bearing on my review , but it adds to why the poor service and quality were even harder to swallow, especially as my family didn't even bother to complain. But I will on their behalf!
The morning /afternoon of August 17, my younger sister & our parents & myself had stopped in Menomonee for breakfast at Perkins on our trip back home after the first trip to get preliminaries done, planning of funeral, clean house , etc. We were all emotionally and physically very worn out, especially my parents. Aa we would in just few days be mskimg another trip back for the service. I was not feeling hungry , and stayed in the car.
When my family returned to our vehicle, I asked how was their breakfast/brunch. The responses made me beyond angry. My sister was given burnt potatoes.....mom's eggs overcooked....my Dad's food was very sloppily presented to him and he Saud most was not cooked as he ordered.....my mother ordered hot chocolate, and when the waitress brought it, she slammed it in the table, it spilled, and she slid it to her. The waitress also never once came to check on thrm/ask how ever was, and my sister said when she thanked the waitress after the food was brought, she rolled her eyes and acted annoyed! None pf thrm complained....i wanted to go in and do it for them but they said don't worry about it. My father ate his food anyway because he did the driving and needed energy but he said it was awful. I felt the meal should have been free after what they dealt with.
I asked for a description of the waitress, they described a kind of short, elderly woman, who had in sparkly jeans, had grey hair, with the sides or at least one side, shaved. We'll never step foot here again and advise all we know...

I noticed employees congregating near the rest rooms as disabled customers tried to get through. ( It just may have been a weird timing issue)
The menu is nice, good choice and the prices seem reasonable.
Multiple staff to and from table. (Assuming it was a shift change.) It would have been nice to know that. Suddenly Our server was gone.
The person with me had a good meal with no problems. Really enjoyed it
My meal was not so good.
Fish and shrimp. Very bland and was missing seasoning. To be honest, if I had my eyes closed, I'd have no idea what it was. The shrimp was over cooked.
The fish too was overcooked and very bland. The rice was chunky and in blocks. Was it frozen and microwaved? Very flavorless.
Question: is this precooked and microwaved?
⚫ To contrast. I went to a fast food place the next day and tried their shrimp. It was far superior to Perkins. Cooker well, seasoned good and they provided cocktail sauce. ( Your staff did not offer cocktail or tartar sauce)
One should assume better at a sit down restaurant.
The staff seemed nice, but busy.

Perhaps you should trim the menu. Get rid of the items that are...
