Took my MacBook Pro into Best Buy a couple years ago for Geek Squad's assistance. First they run the diagnostics on my computer and tell me there is certainly a problem with my hard drive, and I'll have to have it replaced. Also, they would have to extract all my documents and put them on an external hard drive (that I had to purchase for $80) that they would then put on the new hard drive when it was installed. Ok, I can deal with that.
Three weeks go by and I get a call from the Squad. The guy says my computer is good to go and all the files are on the new hard drive, sweet! I drive there immediately. I go to the counter and the guy working there brings me my computer, opens it up, presses the power button, and says: "Uh oh" Turns the computer around and the same flashing folder with a question mark remains on my screen, refusing to start up properly. So essentially I gave them my computer for three weeks and the problem still was not solved. Geek Squad proceeds to tell me that they suppose there was nothing wrong with the hard drive the entire time and it must be the hard drive cable.
At this point I'm thinking to myself: "Ok Patrick, you really need the computer for school and you've already gone 3 weeks without it, let's just be patient and hopefully they will be able to fix this in a timely manor."
So after they tell me that they had actually just spent 3 weeks replacing something that wasn't broken, they tell me its the hard drive cable. So I ask how much will that cost? How long is it going to take? Do I even need this goddamn external hard drive I bought from you guys? The Geek Squad employee then tell s me that they are not able to fix that part, and i have to go to the Apple store.
Thank you so much Geek Squad for wasting my time and money. I'll never forget this terrible...

It accepted the appointment no problem. I tried calling the store around 10 times to confirm that they had the screen in stock and no one answered any of the calls. Finally my appointment came around and when I arrived the moment the associate saw my phone he said "oh we don't have that screen in stock" I told him that I specified what kind of screen I needed when I made the appointment and his response was "yeah, sorry our website sucks", I said I tried calling the store 10 times and no one answered and his response was "yeah our phone system sucks too" I didn't even know how to respond at that point. I worked with Mark on the phone to schedule an appointment and then in person to fix my Asus laptop as it wasnât getting online and experiencing other issues. Although I ran very late- he was more than friendly, serious, and professional - everything youâd want when you turn over your private files. He worked extremely hard to find the issue, and finally did. While he was in the back room I had the pleasure of meeting Drew who was extremely passionate about repairing and fantastic with customer service. He spoke to just about everyone and constantly checked in to see whether or not everyone was happy and being taken care of.
