I have used the delivery service several times, when we got our first delivery, a lovely person by the name of Ashley came to the door and was absolutely great. We had the correct silverware and the appropriate items that had been ordered. Over the last few orders, the quality has greatly decreased. A few weeks ago, I had to call Panera to find out where my order was when it stated it was delivered, I was on hold for five minutes before I finally gave up, the order arrived and the driver told me he thought he grabbed 'extra cookies.' There were no extra cookies, but also, the brownies I had ordered, were not included. I called to see if I could get a refund, but the manager told me that the driver would bring them back out instead. He did, and he was apologetic, I accepted the brownies, went back inside to discover that there was no baguette with my order. I took a deep breath and told myself I would not order it again. But, Panera is usually delicious, so keeping that promise can be difficult, especially when you are behind on your work and its easier to not cook a meal. I tried again yesterday however, and was again, disappointed. I don't think the order was completely correct, and this time, the food quality was not quite there. I'm not sure if dining in as a guest provides a better experience or not, but I miss how delicious the food used to be and friendly the staff was. I hope this place can turn it around, this location is much more convenient for me, but I am willing to travel the extra 20 minutes to go to another location if there is no...
Read moreJust had a terrible experience. Ordered online, said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I showed up, my name was on the "preparing list" then it flashed over to the "ready list" and then it disappeared.
I asked if my meal was ready, and I was assured they were just running a little bit behind.
It turns out to prevent the corporate overlords from seeing their running behind, they would print out the physical ticket, and in the system they would clear that it was processed and picked up. When in reality they were just tracking them with paper tickets. Well guess who's ticket fell between some plates on the counter?
I asked multiple times if my order had been processed, nobody checked, but they said it would just be soon. An hour and 5 minutes after I had ordered, they found the ticket and gave me my order.
I don't blame the employees, I blame the corporate structure that tracks them on their time, and the local manager's choice to track the orders on paper tickets and clear them out of the system so their statistics look better.
Let's all collectively stop eating at Panera. It's obviously gotten terrible in the...
Read moreWorst experience - completely incompetent. Ordered $30 of food, was not given my full order. Called to ask for the rest of my food at 9:33 and was told it would be a SECURITY RISK for anyone to enter the store since the doors were locked and refused to put the missing food order outside of their door! Unbelievably absurd. At 9:29 there is no security risk, 3 minutes later - perilous to open the door and give me the food that I ordered and paid for. Truly shockingly ridiculous! "Managers" like Jackie should be able to act like ADULTS and give customers their order when a mistake is made by the Panera employees - even if it's 9:33!!! I will call the GM, Ryan, tomorrow afternoon and see if he stands by the unbelieveable declaration of 'safety' to not give me the food I ordered and paid for. All I wanted was the food I ordered for a late dinner with my family.....so frustrated and angry with this ludacris scenario that just unfolded! Too bad there is no option for a was a 'zero'...
