I went in the store today ready to buy a bike, but I was ignored and unappreciated. The female owner greeted people she knew by name at the front door and didn't acknowledge me as I walked in. A sales associate walked past me and helped a couple who came in after me. The female owner came inside, HUGGED a customer she knew who came in after me, and proceeded to chat with her. The small store was very busy. No CDC guidelines were followed. They didn't limit how many people entered. It was impossible to keep social distance. No one wore PPE. No one was disinfecting anything. I decided to leave because no one even said I will be with you in a moment. The male owner standing outside the front door doing nothing of importance mentioned to someone that he was the owner. I commented that no one even said hi to me. Instead of saying sorry how can I help you, he made a smug grin and proudly commented on how busy they were. I guess he was so busy he didn't need my money. Only regulars are appreciated there. This place is unbelievable! It’s been a decade or two since I had been on a bike. Not knowing much about bikes, I was able to spend some time at several local shops. At this point all I knew was that I wanted to support local. This shop stood out from the crowd with helpful advice and no serious pressure to sell. It’s like they wanted the shoe to fit for me and were going to accept nothing less. With the Covid delays, there wasn’t the proper fit on the shelf. They happily took my number and actually called it the next day after preparing a bike. Several other places offered the same and I haven’t heard from them weeks later. The new bike was a success after making back to the store. The price was more than fair and the service was exceptional. I enjoyed spending my time and money at this shop, highly recommend. A moment after walking into the store we were greeted by a friendly and knowledgable representative. My wife and I were looking for two bikes but were unsure of the style to choose. The sales person, who we think may be the owner, helped us decide what route was best. He explained the technical and practical aspects of the bikes, pricing options with no pressure, and delivered a sincere experience that made us feel welcome and excited to browse.

The stock on hand is impressive for beginners through experts so you can spend a lot of time checking them out.

After reviewing many other bike shops in the Boise and Meridian area we have decided to purchase from Meridian Cycles. The range of bikes available, pricing options, and customer service of the competitors pales in comparison.
