We went to Wahooz for the first time today and will not be going back. We planned a fun bowling outing with our young kids (ages 1-6) and picked Wahooz because it's advertised as a family-friendly place. We even picked the "Family Cosmic Saturdays" time to go bowling. When we got there, we found a line of huge TV screens at the end of the bowling lanes playing music videos, which, of course, had stuff that was not appropriate for young kids. Forcing our kids into an hour of screen time in general is annoying when we're trying to get away from screens to go bowling as a family, but to have big, inescapable screens with less-than-kid-safe content shows some serious lack of judgment and planning for a family market by leadership. We asked if there's any way to put something more kid-friendly on the screens or just change it to colorful patterns or something, and one staff member was great in trying to help that happen, then that person's manager stepped in and told us they wouldn't change what was on the screens and that they play music videos all day and wouldn't make an exception (other than turning off the one of 10 screens at the end of our lane, which wouldn't fix anything). I don't care about the music, and let the teenagers watch their music videos in the evening, but please don't force an hour of screen time with content that is not good for kids right in the middle of a Saturday afternoon session that is supposed to be dedicated to families! To summarize: 1) Very poor planning by leadership in showing music videos on big screens with inappropriate content for young kids during family bowling time; 2) Shocking rigidity and poor customer service when we brought up the issue and asked for an alternative. They not only lost the $58 we were going to give them for bowling today, but with the combination of cluelessness towards a family market and terrible customer service, we won't be returning to Wahooz at all and will give our money to organizations who actually understand kids and appropriate...
Read moreI planned a birthday party for my son in the Z lounge at Pinz. It cost over $350 and the service was terrible. They were very busy, with 5 birthday parties, they did not tell me this ahead of time and asked me to be there 15 minutes early, it took over 20 minutes just to check in and an additional 15 minutes to get bowling shoes. Our pizza was supposed to be out at 12:15... It never came out. Got it after 1pm. We needed bumpers on both lanes and the bumpers would come out for awhile then drop again. The server that checks on you doesn't know anything about the bowling lanes, food, etc and they are the only person checking in regularly, if you want to talk to someone who knows something you have to wait in line another 20 minutes. Have them 2 stats because the facilities are nice and the food is decent. Was not worth $350...
Read moreThe staff is very slow paced, its obvious they dont want to be here. My daughter who is 4 launched a ball into a different lane, and you pay by the hour, it took probably 10 minutes for them to come get it. Since you pay by the hour I would expect some sense of urgency to be there in situations like this. They have a cool system set up to play music videos, but they played the same 10 60's songs on a loop. When there were several lanes open instead of spacing people out when it wasnt necessary to be right next to each other, they put people on either side if us when they could have spaced them out. Overall, this place is overpriced, the staff had zero sense of urgency. Frankly, Big Al's is...
