TCBY — Local services in Meridian

We go here probably once or twice a week and have never had an issue. However last night was terrible. Being that the store closes at “10pm” we went down at 9:15pm. Including the 3 of us, there were also 6 others for a total of 9 of us in there getting yogurt. Right at 9:30 the lights were shut off on us…while eating our yogurt (all in the dark). I asked the young gal working if she could turn the lights back on, and her response was, “our boss told us to shut the lights off at 9:30.” And refused to turn them back on. After we asked what boss she stated it was the owner who told her to do this. Another family that stated they have been going there for years every week said they had never seen that before in the evenings, It would be one thing to say things kindly but this girl was so rude it almost made all of us feel like not coming back after years of coming here. Another issue was the 3 girls working stated they all had school in the morning so everything was cleaned at 9:15pm when we came in. So when ordering fudge and caramel they used one little tiny plastic spoon worth of topping that we pay a lot for because they said they washed the ladles already, This was not a good experience for anyone there last night, Not a great way to run a business. Stopped last night for a quick treat and all I got was disappointment and poor service. Tables were not clean however all three employees were hanging in back the whole time we were in the store there was only one other table occupied. One girl asked me what I wanted I told her I wanted a chocolate cone. She asked if I wanted a sugar cone or regular cone I responded regular she just stood there and looked at the girl next to her. The girl then asked me if I wanted a sugar cone or flat bottom cone. I didn’t know what a flat bottom cone was and she was put out with me for not understanding her question. The price for 2 small ( flat bottom cones) $6.40 a little on the spendy side in my opinion for the value. This experience is a management problem as the employees are not coached very well. It's amazing how far prompt courteous service with a smile and a clean establishment can do for the bottom line in a business. I will take my business elsewhere where they appreciate the money you give them. I have supported this business for a lot of years and decided my money will be spent better...

I am so happy we happened into this place. The crew at this place is top notch. Wyatt and his crew were fantastic. We promised the grandkids yogurt tonight. The place we planned on going to had already closed for the night. I Googled TCBY because I know I have been by one but couldn't remember where it was or if it was open. We were greeted as we walked in. The whole crew came to the counter to see where they could help. 4 kids and 4 adults felt very welcomed as we walked up to the counter. It was our first time at TCBY. Wyatt and the crew were so helpful explaining what was what. In addition to being so helpful and accomodating, Wyatt was very polite.
