I ordered chicken and noodles at the Meridian location. After paying for my meal, I asked the gal why she charged me more than I normally pay. She said it was because I requested an extra packet of teriyaki sauce. My response was no one has ever charged me extra before. And I didn't appreciate the way she talked down to me. After thinking it all over for a minute. I asked her to cancel my order and give me a refund. I said I would rather go somewhere else to get something to eat. I am a senior citizen on a fixed budget and don't have a lot of money. I need to make every penny count. After fumbling around with the cash register for 10 to 15 minutes, she said she didn't know how to give me a refund. So I asked her to go find someone who does. A guy came from back out of the kitchen, after another ten minutes he said he couldn't figure it out either. He also told the girl that they normally don't charge for an extra teriyaki sauce. And if they did it would only be twelve cents. The difference in price was much more than twelve cents. So the first guy goes back in the kitchen to get another guy. He fiddles around with the register for a good 15 to 20 minutes and tells me he doesn't know or can't give me a refund. During this time he tells me the reason for the difference in price is because the price in the register is higher than the price listed on the menu. Meanwhile the two of them get on a cell phone and are calling someone what to do. The guy finally pulls a one dollar bill out of the till and says well this should take of the difference. Again I said I just want a refund. He refused to give me one. But he said well your food is ready and hands it to me. After waiting all this time the food was now cold. It was an insult to hand me a dollar bill and cold food and basically tell me to go away. I get home and look in the bag with the food. There wasn't even one packet of teriyaki sauce. The meal has always come with at least one. So I ate a cold tasteless teriyaki dish with no teriyaki sauce.
It isn't the first time I have had bad service from them. During another visit I waited half an hour because another gal couldn't figure out how to put points on a rewards card. And yet another time I asked the woman how long the wait would be before ordering. She said 15 minutes. I ended up waiting over an hour before I got my food.
One star is too much to give them. If I could give a zero I would.
To emphasize a few points, charging a customer a higher price than what is listed on the menu is not only dishonest, it is also illegal. It is beyond ridiculous no employee could refund my money. Extremely bad customer service. No one should be treated the way I was during...
Read moreRead moreMeridian Yokozuna was horrible, iregret adding a tip, had I known they were going to be so bad. I was there right as the door opened. The girl who took my order had an attitude, I figured it was just because she was tired, so I brushed that off. When I asked her about a food allergy related question , she gave attitude, again didn't let it bother me. She told Mr the food would be ready in 5-10 min. So I waited in my car. Went back in 10 min later, 3 other customers waiting by now for their food. They came and went. Neither girl bothered to let me how much longer on my order. One of the girls who was making the boba tea was flipping her hair and scratching her scalp, then proceeds to make the boba teas without washing her hands and gives it to the customer. :p Then finally when I get my food they didn't even make my boba drinks, so had to wait a couple minutes more, so in total time what should have 5-10 minutes actually was 27 minutes. Time wasted. I did mention to the girl with attitude that the other girl who was playing with her hair didn't wash her hands and she just shrugged and said huh. Ughh will not go to this Yokozuna again. I'll drive the opposite way and go to...
I love the food here. The teriyaki bowl has big chunks of vegetables. Sadly I stopped eating here due to cleanliness. The cooks in the kitchen do not wear hair restraints. A couple of weeks ago was the last straw for me. There was a young kid with big floppy hair making my food. As if that wasn't enough I saw him run his hand through his hair. I spoke to him and asked him shouldn't you be wearing a hair restraint back there (i said nothing about running his hand through his hair). He said not that he's aware of. He said his boss never said anything to him before about wearing a hair restraint. A ball cap at Walmart is less than $10. Is it too much to ask that cooks in the kitchen put one on. Section 3.3 of the Idaho Food Code clearly states that cooks are required by law to wear a hair restraint. This was at the Fairview...
