I decided to try this place after seeing it several times. It was very busy for a Friday night and I had to wait a few minutes for a table. You can make reservations, which I suggest if there is 4 or more people. Its located in a strip mall, however it is nicely decorated, including a large mural, cozy couple tables, lots of lighting and large windows make it appear large and bright. Although, it was busy it wasn't loud and you could easily hold a conversation. Menu has a large selection of different dishes with good descriptions, including a separate sushi menu. This place also has a small bar area with a special drink menu and "happy hour" specials. I ordered the thai spring roll, spicy tuna roll and thai sweet and sour with chicken. Service was good, despite being busy. Servers were constantly checking on customers, clearing dishes, cleaning tables as needed and food was served right away. The springs rolls were fresh and large, served with a peanut sauce. Would of loved a spicy sauce to go with it as well. The spicy tuna roll was delicious and it was spicy as described and not alot of rice. The thai sweet and sour chicken was not what I expected however I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and uniqueness of this dish. The chicken was not battered and fried, it was saute, with a variety of veggies and pineapple served in a mild sweet red sauce. It came with white rice. You could order this dish with more heat If desired. If your into thai food, give this place a try.

Just a wonderful experience for a Sunday brunch. This appears to be a hidden gem because just about everything was outstandingl Pros - Nicely varied menu, beautiful restaurant, friendly service, delicious food. I always order the Penang Curry to evaluate a Thai restaurant. This was a very generously portioned curry with background heat, rich flavor, and a touch of sweetness. Large plump broccoli florets offset a lovely contrast with the reddish-pink hue of the curry. I ordered a side of brown rice, which was deliciously soft and slightly nutty. I ordered just the regular iced tea, but it was quite refreshing with clean flavor. And they offer free refills! I love the attention to detail with the delicately carved lemon slices. The silverware has a good weight to it with a beautiful bamboo pattern. They have very nice heavyweight plastic containers with tight fitting lids to take your extra food home, guaranteed not to spill. . Cons - I was given the choice of steamed or fried tofu, and I opted for the steamed, but unfortunately, my dish was served with the fried tofu. I mentioned this to the server who offered to make the correction, but I told her it was not a problem, and actually, the fried tofu was quite delicious! The prices tend to be on the high side, but I am sure this is to maintain their quality and reputation of being excellent thai cuisine. Plus the bonus of being able to take some home!

My husband and I were traveling to Salt Lake for a FanX Convention in September and decided, since it was late, that we would grab a hotel. We were really worried though that, since it was so late, we wouldn't be able to find anything open to eat since we both have rather extensive food allergies. We were so fortunate to have found Sa-Wad-Dee and even though it was very close to closing they kindly allowed us to order and eat at a table. I feel rather bad for saying this; but our local Thai restaurant from home doesn't even compare to how good this place is. I took one bite of their Green Curry and visibly melted because my husband was looking at me as if to say 'are you ok, hunny?'. That was until he had a bite of his and made about the same face. Needless to say that on our way back through we absolutely had to stop by and have another bite, knowing we may never get to savor the splendid cooking of this magnificent restaurant again. And if the owner or employees are reading this, I really want to thank you for your kindness, your absolutely scrumptious cooking, and for taking care of your customers as you did. It is places and people like you that make a difference in the world and make traveling so pleasant; especially when you're not expecting to find such a gem! Sending you all our love and hope that you find your sushi chef soon. The Braukmans.

I'm sitting here eating my take-out and realized I have never left a review for my FAVORITE restaurant! Before COVID-19 we would eat there or order out at least once a week! I can't express my love for Saw-wa-dee enough!!!

Me and my husband have been frequent visitors for 4 to 5 years now, which is sad because I have lived in Meridian since I was eight and hadn't been here before we randomly decided to try something new! We are NEVER disappointed with the quality of the food or the outstanding customer service! We frequent so much that we are recognized by the staff as soon as we walk through the door (our favorite waiter says "hi" or waves everytime we are in if he isn't the one doing take-out! And he makes THE BEST mojitos!!) We've tried at least half of the menu items and love them all but definitely have our favorites! They also have AMAZING sushi rolls and we LOVE trying the specialty rolls when we decide to do sushi. The Chef's NEVER disappoint!

List of MUST have's: Crispy Flowers (I ALWAYS have at least one order of these) Fried Spring Rolls Curry Noodle aka Dr. Greg Noodle (actually a dish that was added to the menu because of a frequent business owner/customer Dr. Greg Callis, who is also my family Chiropractor) Basil Fried Rice (1 of 2 for my personal favorites! I don't even have words for the wonderful flavors!) Yellow Curry (2 of 2 for my personal favorites! It's so perfectly blended. Whenever I make my own at home it just isn't the same/right) Triple S Noodle (one of my husband's go-to's when he wants noodles. It's even become a favorite for our cousin!) Panang Curry (also one of my husband's favorites!) Coconut & Pineapple Fried Rice (Who doesn't LOVE fried rice? Better yet? They respectively come in a half of a Coconut & Pineapple)

We WILL keep coming back, it's always amazing and we just...

We arrived at 4pm this afternoon and were promptly seated. I did notice a sign at the front that said they were short staffed and to please be patient. About fifteen minutes later a staff member came to our table took our drink order (along with the rest of our order since we knew what we wanted). At 4:55pm we still didn’t have anything, not even the tea or appetizer and noticed that three other tables that were filled after we had arrived already had their main dishes. I found the one that took our order and their first question upon seeing me up from my table seeking help was to ask, “Oh, are you ready for your bill?” This was immediately followed with a glance at our table and confusion on their face as they likely noticed that we had no dishes and my silverware was still wrapped in its napkin. I mentioned that I saw the notice about short shafting but also mentioned the others that came after us that had their food. Then the expression I saw was slight panic and was told that they would inquire immediately. A few minutes later we were told that our order was being escalated to “911” (and still no tea). Then a cook came out from the kitchen and told us our ticket had been lost and it would take a good 30 minutes to get it ready. The cook asked if we still wanted it. My husband was pretty disappointed by this point so he told the cook to cancel the order. The cook looked relieved, agreed, and took off for the kitchen. We got up from our table and went out with no further interaction...

The first time I entered this place, it quickly gave me that upscale restaurant impression. Compared to other Asian restaurants in this area of Meridian, this place looks like I'll be paying more than the usual amount I spend on places like this. I was sort of correct. But I'll get into that in a bit.

My order was simple. Just the Thai platter and a seafood fried rice. The fried rice alone already cost me $18. I think it's around $10 for the fried rice and the added $8 was for the sort of extra generous seafood toppings that go with it. Whether or not you find the $18 dollar fried rice to be worth it will depend on how much you're willing to spend on these things. Though certainly, its far from the cheapest Asian food selection you can choose in this area.

If you'll ask me if it's the best fried rice I've tasted here, I would have to say yes. Though if you're on a budget, you may wanna consider other options.

I've been to Bangkok three times already, and it's fair to say that I have an okay idea what meals there tastes like. As far as taste goes, Sa-Wad-Dee will not disappoint you. In terms of authenticity, I couldn't say much because what I ordered was very basic.

When I was in Bangkok, one of the most memorable aspects of the city was its dirt-cheap street food that's really good. And Sa-Wad-Dee does not exude that street/alley vibe. If anything, it goes the opposite route. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing.

In any case, I'd recommend this restaurant if budget is of no...
