Michaels — Local services in Merrifield

Spend an hour going through the store, maticulously picking out things that require you to be in person to make sure its of good quality. Finally done my shopping had a great time. Get to the counter and no one. Nothing. Waiting. Waiting. Still nothing. Go to the self check out and after my first scan theres mysteriously an employee stabding behind me watching. Very annoying considering i WANTED to check out with a person. Instead i get someone a vouple feet behind me watching me, makes me feel rushed. The Wrapping on an item ripped off and got double scanned. I got really annoyed. Told the employee that in the future if you want to help a customer check out just be behind the lit up check out counter. They countered with "yeah but you need my help because you double scanned" missing the irony that if they were there to check me out i wouldnt need help at a self checkout. Left my cart and $100+ worth of items and walked out. Why do owners understaff and think that one employee can stock and run a whole store? That must be the case as if there was more than 1 employee in the store than they were just...

I love shopping here, only problem is that most of the employees here are stalkers. If you aren't a white American they will follow you all the time, they will watch you and stare at you as if you were stealing. Or they will have "Normal" people follow you around and make you uncomfortable. Watch out for this lady, she was making me and my family uncomfortable for an hour!!!! She acted as if she worked there, stocking items and pretending to shop next to me in every single isle without actually shopping. At the end she pretended to pay for her stuff like a regular person but she didn't do anything, the left her cart and went out behind...

I had an amazing experience with Greg in the Michaels Custom Framing department. My friend and I were in the store and had a number of questions about appropriate frame sizes for certain types of art as well as questions about custom framing and even fixing frames. Greg answered all of our questions in a way where he was completely invested in us having the answers we needed. He was patient, kind, and a great listener. We were able to purchase everything we needed and learned more about store offerings for the future. We're grateful that Greg made our Michael's experience...
