Our first restaurant dinner in our new city! And very close to our new home! JC took good care of us as we sat outside in the beautiful fall weather. We both ordered off the Octoberfest menu. When JC brought me a refill - Coca Cola products - (for which I didn't have to ask for), I mentioned to him that I had ordered my Prussian Pretzel Roll without onions. Sure enough, there were onions in it! Not wanting to be a glitch customer, I ate it anyway. JC talked to the kitchen and another roll was prepared, without onions. The fries were hot and crispy when. delivered. The chicken schnnitzel was enjoyed as well. The service we received and the food will make us a repeat customer. Be prepared for large portions! UPDATE: It was so good the first time we had to go back for fish and chips two days later! We sat outside once again and were treated to a gorgeous sunset. Food was good and served hot. Water w/lemon slice was delivered as our server approached to take our order. Ketchup and malt vinegar were also delivered promptly. The downside? I had asked for extra lemon for my fish and did nnot receive it. Our server (not JC) never checked back to see how our meal was. I know it was busy and he was taking care of other patrons, but it would have taken 1 minute to stop by. While I wish it was haddock, our cod was very good and crisp. We love this place in our new neighborhood and will be back again and again! UPDATE December 11, 2021 Another meal at our favorite local restaurant. First time eating inside. Much bigger than expected. TV’s on every wall. Excellent fish and chips. Served hot and crispy good service as we’ve come to expect. Seasonal specials. Will be back again. UPDATE: January 7, 2022 Another fish fry Friday at our favorite local restauant. AND we reconnected with our first server - JC. He remembered us and of course we received his excellent service ad enjoyed our conversations. I even had dessert - Cherry Cobbler - which I never order dessert! We have relatives visiting in February and hope to bring them to Glory Days for lunch. Will ask for JC's section and hope he'll be on duty that day. As always, the food was hot and good. Extra tartar sauce and plenty of extra lemons delivered. Soda refill without asking. Stella on draft. Clean restrooms. Great place to eat when you want someone else todo the cooking!

Dropped in for dinner last night as corona virus social distancing tightens. Expectedly, not many patrons present. Half the bar stools were removed making greater space between stools and there were only 6 people at the bar at 8:00 PM on St. Patrick’s Day. I settled in ordering tall glass of Devil’s Backbone, basic burger that I asked to be grilled medium well. Burger arrived in reasonable time and presentation was beautiful. Burger is served open face but the half bun the burger was placed was throughly soggy with grease. Bartender got me a fresh bun though I only needed half. I patted down the burger using a napkin to to soak up rest of excess grease looking forward to an enjoyable burger. Biting into the burger I quickly discovered it was grilled medium rare. The bartender was not very sympathetic shrugging it off as kitchen error and offhandedly offered to have another one made medium well as I had ordered. I finished the beer, paid for the beer along with the charge the bartender rang up for the second bun ($.50) - not charged for the burger, and left.

In its "glory days" it was ranked in 2017 & 2020 as the "Best Food Allergy Champion" for their extensive allergy menus and their preparation for making food safely. These are proudly listed on their website too. In fact it used to be a safe go-to place for me as GD had many Gluten Free options. I could even get loaded fries that were safe! Due to the change in ownership the company as a whole has gotten rid of the dedicated fryers and significantly reduced the GF menu. Big bummer and crumby of the company to disregard so many of their customers. I've had several worsening experiences but this takes the cake. The grilled wings continuously come out charred and inedible. Spending $53 and 19 out of my 24 wings ordered were charred to a crisp...

really nice sports bar with a large menu

i had their impossible burger and i can only describe it in two words... DEE LISCIOUS!! would have snapped a pic but forgot when i started stuffing it down my gullett 👈😋👍 substituted the fries for the mashed taters which had 200 less cals then the fries 🍟 and it was sooo tasty... even better because when you need to watch a few calories but want that good comfort food it was exactly perfect 👌

my only issue was their outdoor seating area which had a smoking 🚬 section right next to us. it's all VA legal but doesn't account for the wafting, dangerous second hand CIGAR smoke that everyone in the area is exposed to... including the workers who also have to deal with the pollution of cars going by as well 😒👎

they have a wonderful manager that listened to my complaints about the smoke and informed me of the possible solutions to rectify the situation and i thank her for her patience and willingness to hear me out even through my anger and displeasure... please forgive me if i was curt or unkind with you 🙏

it's understandable that as employees we are all subject to the rules of what the owners and mngmt deem appropriate for thier business landscape 🤔

however, as human workers we ALL have the right to a safe working environment despite what state, city, and local ordinances determine what is healthy for us. in short, this is my complaint -- it is completely UNHEALTHY for workers to be continually made to perform their jobs in the midst of second hand CIGAR and CIGARETTE SMOKE and VEHICLE 🚜 exhaust!!!! 😞👎

get rid of the smoking 🚬 section... it only serves for the regular customers that do nothing for the overall revenue of the business and the tips that they leave don't make up for the health risks that the workers...

I've know about Glory days Grill for years, but never went because it's not close to where we live. We came here for the first time because of a promotion we won as part of a school fundraiser.

The place is packed with more TVs than you can watch. I'm sure people can find whatever sporting event they want to see here.

My wife had the fish fry, and thought it was good but not great. My daughter had a cheeseburger and liked hers. I had a small seasonal salad and a side of Crab Mac&Cheese. The salad was good. The chicken wasn't dry, and the strawberries were fresh.

While the rest of the food was fine, the Crab Mac&Cheese was terrible. The crab, seasoned with Old Bay, was placed on top of the small bowl of mac&cheese. But it must have been prepared well in advance because it was a dried bird's nest when my dish arrived. I used the supplied lemon wedge to drizzle juice on the crab, but it was beyond reviving and I had to scrape it off to the side and just eat the Mac&cheese. A wasted couple of dollars for the crab upcharge

I told my server that the crab was not edible, and he said he was sorry to hear that, or something to that effect. However, the item remained on my bill.

Overall, I rate this a decent sports bar and people should stick to their menu specialties - wings, burgers, and ribs (which I have...
