Lux Nail & Bar — Local services in Mesquite

I have been going to this place since they opened. Tony and his wife are like family to me. An example: My mom who also went there went through chemo before she passed, and every time we went in Tony made sure she was as comfortable as possible. He knows customers by name, engages with all clientele, and all the nail techs do a great job. I do have some favorites, but not due to the lack of performance by the other techs. Their pedicures are not only fairly priced, they do a lot more than other nail salons for the same "package" or prices. The salon itself is beautiful. Not once have I gone into anything less than sparkly clean, beautiful ever changing decor, and a big welcome from Tony. He consistently walks the salon nonstop, watching the techs and employees to ensure they are doing a good job, asks clients if they are happy so far or with their completed nails. He treats his employees very kindly and fairly. They offer wine which is a bonus to me. Constantly I have broken a nail or it was smudged, and every time Tony fixes it for no charge (always tip). The techs are always so sweet, and he hires techs who do a good job consistently. A lot of salons hire new or training techs who aren't quite ready yet. I will never stop patronizing this salon and/or recommending it, a few friends have actually been converted to Lux as their new nail spot. A few of the nail techs are beyond talented in terms of the trends in nails, designs, etc.

Also, I wanted to notate the review I saw by "Christine Flores", misspelled and one sentence explaining nothing. As proven on camera at the salon, and being I was there; this "lady" sat and got her nails done for an hour, then ran out on the bill. The poor nail tech tried to chase after her, however she had a car waiting as most scammers do. When the employee was attempting to get her license plate, she attempted to run him over if he didn't move. A police report was actually filed and charges are upcoming. It is sad that some people can't afford luxuries, but it doesn't mean they are free by fleeing the scene and paying for services. The employees are affected by this, and the only reason I didn't step in to assist my friend Tony was he asked me to let the cops handle it. Otherwise, I would've chased her myself, as they are family to me.

Go to Lux and I promise you won't be disappointed. Tony and his wife are on point and keep up...

My first time here today ,as I'm sitting getting my toes done. Sitting on a chair that nothing works but the running water. Lady very nice but when it came to talk to a manager. Very unprofessional walking around were there are almost full chairs of customers, he walks around talking out loud "saying we'll that chair doesn't work but she doesn't want to move ,oh well ,as he walks around repeatedly and shaking his head adding i can't control that the chair is not working "He didn't even apologize until I had to ask him to get closer to me so I could tell him how I felt about his poorly unprofessional way of treating a customer. He walks away upset saying "ok yeah very unprofessional "

Very sad that he acted this way ,I told him "sir don't do that ,that's embarrassing for me . He didn't care 😔 Mind you ,I didn't want to move because the nice lady had already started with my toes .

OMG as I'm leaving 😯 I'm trying to get the owners information as the front desk young lady turns around to tell this so called "manager" that I am asking for the owners information he turns and tells her with his rudeness "I am the owner give her my number "

He then walks away to a corner desk , so i followed to talk to him ,he tells me right away "leave me alone I don't want to be bothered, I'm having a bad day" I was like sir because your having a bad day you can't take it on your customers, I explained to him that I was a first time customers and was not happy with the way he treated me. Did he care? NOPE he didn't he was very rude . I had to ask him again to please keep his voice down because I was embarrassed of the way he was treating and talking to me ,🥺 im very disappointed.

So sad that this place has a person like him running it. He lied saying he was the owner when he first said he was the manager. No I didn't want anything free or discounted, all I wanted was an honest apology 🤷🏻‍♀️ With all this said ,I payed full price for my pedicure and I tiped...

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I originally got there at 12:30 and didn't leave until 4. Once the lady came over to do my pedicure I asked her if she was wearing latex gloves. She didn't understand me so I kept proceeding to try to make her understand. If those are latex gloves you cannot wear those on me because I'm highly allergic. She finally understood what I was saying. She looks at me and says I cannot walk off and does someone else's nails. Before that she did inform the manager that was in the back and He never came out to address it or let me know what's going on. If I proceeded to the front and asked the young lady at the front what is going on. She proceeded to go to the back where the manager was came out and I was never told anything. Finally another nail Tech comes out to do my pedicure. I didn't say anything else at the time because nobody cared but the gloves the lady was using still looked like latex gloves and the manager informed me that they were not. I Should have walked out. Instead of using my better judgment I stayed and now my feet are red and itchy. I proceeded to call the manager to ask him who do I file a complaint with . He said me I proceeded to say well who do I complain against on you because your attitude and stuff was not so nice today. He says who me I said yes sir you. He said you're the one with the latex issue right. I said yes sir. He starts catching major attitude and proceeds to say I didn't even know what was going on I was in the back. I said how about as a manager you try to figure out why your customers are so unhappy. Instead of just blowing your customers off which he knew what was going on. I Told him you do not pay me I pay you to do my nails and not be treated like that. He tells me how about you never come back then and hangs up in my face. I definitely will be reporting this...
