Very disappointed! Needing to find someone who could help me repair and replace a battery in a watch I love. Being excited about visiting a store my entire family used to visit and shop at on a first name basis. I remembered playing in the back side shop that is now a separate hair shop. To walking in, in my really casual pants, hair thrown up, no make, and sandals, not looking the "Old Metairie Type" ( but looks are deceiving and should never be used to judge.) Upon walking in there were couple customers who were being helped by owner and son but neither acknowledged me nor spoke 'hello, I will be right with you as soon as I get done with this customer.' I stood looking around while I patiently waited for either of them to be available so I could introduce myself to see if they remembered my family and how we used to come in there and see if they could help me with my watch repairs. However and unfortunately I walked out after about a good 10 minutes of zero acknowledgement. Really...

I was promised an “identical” recreation of an antique engagement ring by Ronnie in May of 2024. I put down $1000. In October of 2024, the product of 5 months of back and forth, multiple price increases (due to rising cost of gold while Ronnie was on 3 vacations, and miscalculation of workmanship fees), and endless frustration, is hardly even reminiscent of the fine piece of jewelry I had requested. In late September I brought a 14k gold braclet that belonged to my mother to be repaired. It needed a new clasp and was quoted a price of $34.00. A month went bye with no word so I went in and was told that it should be back the next day. At that point, I realized that their repair work is outsourced. I did not get a call so I went back to the store on this past Saturday. The braclet was repaired to the tune of $72.00!! I was speechless that the price doubled but felt hostage to pay because of the value and sentiment of the braclet. All they offered me was "we are sorry".
