I have been a resident since December of 2022. I love the variety of music that includes audience singing. I enjoy sharing birthday recognition with a card signed by many and singing "Happy Birthday." It is fun to welcome each new resident and guests. Walking on the undulating and curving trail is great exercise--along with a rocking chair. Transportation is free for medical and some recreational trips. There are multiple games and a pool table. There is a variety of good food and beverages. There are multiple faith worship services. The rooms are a good size. This includes the bath with grab bars and a shower. Some feed the birds in our "garden." There is adequate parking . Nursing staff has improved with time including Grace and Laura and others. We now have an RN on staff. Laurelwood staff was my extended family. I worked many years there. A true honor and overwhelming feeling of knowing management care for each resident was so profound. All my years of service there were all deficiency free because we truly care about the well-being of each Resident. Real cooked food, an amazing nursing department and our residents raved about their activities!!! I'm going to miss it. We tackled any tissue together, no facility is perfect, but God brought that community through and out of all circumstances- I will forever be great to be a part of that.

From the first phone call to moving my mom in, everything about Laurelwood has been top notch. The facility is clean, staff are all so friendly and helpful…her studio apartment w/private bath is spacious enough yet easy for mom to navigate. Safety is a top concern, and we appreciate the multiple grab bars in the bathroom and not one but two pull cords in her studio. The in-room temperature control lets her keep the space comfortable. Maintenance is very responsive.
