The Joynt recently opened up in Yellow Springs. Since my fiancee and I frequently visit YS, we have fallen in love with this quaint, artsy town. We wandered into the Joynt. We absolutely loved it. The owner and staff are amazing. Their selection of locally sourced goods is impeccable.
We went in before the GZA show almost 2 weeks ago and I fell in love with this painting. I left without purchasing it. And I regretted it immediately. When we went back for the Wu Tang show, we hit the Joynt again and I picked up this piece on consignment from a local artist. I couldn't be happier with the art work. It was affordable, benefited a local artist, and looks even better on our wall.
The Joynt staff packaged the piece incredibly well for travel back to North East Ohio. And the word on the street was that the artist is trying to raise funds for a local skate park. I was able to support a local business, a local artist, and hopefully help move the needle a bit for the skate park. If you're in Yellow Springs I highly suggest wandering into The Joynt. You won't be disappointed. Tons of cool stuff. And some amazing glass pieces as well. We will be going back again next time we visit...
Read moreHey everyone, just a quick heads-up about this location. The cannabis theyâre selling isnât the real deal youâd expect from a legal, licensed dispensary that is regulated by the DCC. Instead, theyâre selling THCA, which doesnât produce the same high effect as THC Delta-9.
While THCA does have some potential benefits, hereâs the catchâitâs completely unregulated. Thereâs no testing for heavy metals, chemicals, or excess fertilizers, meaning you have no way of knowing how safe this product truly is. Just because they use the broad term "cannabis" doesnât mean it's what you think it is.
Thereâs zero third-party testing to verify its safety. If youâre looking for legitimate, licensed cannabis, there are two dispensaries in Springfield that are fully legal. Unfortunately, companies like this one exploit loopholes to sell fake products, relying on the placebo effect to make you think youâre getting high.
Be safe do your research and go to a licensed dispensary or youâre safer going to the dealer down the road to get real cannabis. Then to...
Read moreWelcoming this new business to Yellow Springs! There is a bit of Old Yellow Springs atmosphere at this location. While offering a variety of products, they support area creators and artists by offering space to sell items on consignment. They also offer a variety of hemp based products and supporting items. The staff is very inviting and willing to assist in any way possible. While many businesses in YS have become tourist centric, this business is one that I believe locals will enjoy supporting. I would recommend taking some time to explore and ask questions to familiarize yourself with what they offer. I did find myself walking by a spot a second time and seeing items that I had not...
