I visited AllSports Collectibles for the first time on Saturday, and I enjoyed the store. It’s one of the two oldest sports card stores in Miami, and the selection of cards is fantastic.
This is a true mom-and-pop shop, and while it’s small, the owner has packed it with an incredible variety of items. They’ve got everything from tennis, baseball, basketball, football, UFC, Pokémon, Formula 1, and Yu-Gi-Oh cards to even Disney collectibles. There are also value bins, rare wax packs, and stuff I’ve never seen before, such as heritage packs, where they put some of the greatest athletes into a pack, a bunch of specialty stuff.
Whether you’re looking for vintage singles, graded cards, packs, hobby boxes, or all the supplies you need (sleeves, one touches, toploaders), this store has it all. With 30 years in the hobby, Raymond truly knows his stuff and goes above and beyond for his customers.
When there were no single packs available of the 2022 Formula 1 and only one hobby box left, Raymond went above and beyond by opening it just so he could sell me a pack from inside. You won’t find that level of service at any major chain store. Like, who does that? Really?
This shop exemplifies the classic card store experience. It’s filled with cards, packs, and boxes in every nook, and I had a great time exploring to uncover hidden treasures. Ultimately, I decided to purchase some extra packs that I hadn’t originally...
Read moreUnprofessional and uncomfortable experience.
I visited All Sports Collectibles to see if the owner would be interested in purchasing about 100 vintage baseball cards. When I arrived, the front door was locked—I had to knock and call a cell phone number taped to the door just to be let in. Inside, the space was a chaotic mess, more like a hoarder’s residence than a functioning business.
A man, approximately in his 60s, who appeared to be the owner, spent around 30 minutes looking through my cards before ultimately saying he wasn’t interested, claiming they were too common. That would’ve been fine, except he then pressured me into giving him one of the cards for free, saying, “I don’t work for free.” At no point was there any mention of an appraisal fee, nor was anything posted. I had not agreed to compensate him for simply looking through the cards.
Adding to the discomfort was an unusual and highly distracting detail: the man had an enormous bulge in the groin area of his jeans. It looked as though he had stuffed a large item—possibly a shirt or something similar—down the front of his pants. He never acknowledged it, but it was impossible to ignore and contributed significantly to the unease I felt during the entire interaction.
All in all, this was not a professional environment, and I would not recommend doing business here.
