Lakou is an absolute gem!

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was just awesome. The hostess, Fader, was incredibly warm and welcoming — she set the tone for the whole night. Everyone there was ridiculously nice and genuinely attentive without ever feeling over the top.

The food? So good it made me do that little happy dance at the table. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. And the atmosphere — live music playing, people smiling, that perfect outdoor chill energy — it all just clicked.

Visited Lakou on a Friday night and it did not disappoint! Even before walking in, the vibe was bustling and full of energy with friendly people all around. Inside, it really feels like a “shared backyard” where everyone is welcoming and in good spirits. The music was great, the “Choublak Paradi” cocktail was delicious, and the whole space just radiates good vibes and authenticity. I had an excellent experience at Lakou. This was my 2nd visit, and it is such a vibe! The band Dony and Friends really elevated the mood. The band was the perfect backdrop for the venue. They even took requests at the end of the night. I had the Boulet, and my son had the Shrimp Po'boy. Both were very tasty. I also had the Choblak Paradis. The drink hit the spot. I will definitely be back especially when Dony and Friends...
