This place is doper than heroin!!
Zey Zey is exactly what Miami needs, when we need it. It's basically a mid-size music venue that can host 1,000 people, a little similar to the North Beach Bandshell --- but -- more like Wynwood Yard. Like the Yard, Zey Zey is also a pop-up food court and craft cocktail venue with delicious, rotating options.
Zey Zey's is also a mixed event space. Inside the open air, outdoor venue in Little Haiti, there's a little house converted into a boiler-room type of dj, disco den. It's legit in there.
Plus, the overall vibes are great. People seem fun, smart, happy, hip --- just cool, real city-vibes. This is why we live in Miami.
There is also this beautiful HUGE Banyan tree outside that sets the tone for the whole space. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because it's pricy on drinks and food for an outdoor venue in the area. $11 beers, meh. $20 cocktails, bleh.
But that's just me.
Miami has a way of re-inventing itself every 5 years or so.
We've been losing tons of music venues: Churchill's, Las Rosas, Wynwood Yard, The Fillmore, soon to be The Anderson and so on. But then places like Zey Zey come along and you remember why our city is so beautiful and why we love the 305, even though it's getting really expensive, probably too...
Read moreWe Love in Palm Beach County and drove all the way to Miami to see meet a DJ my wife listens to called BOSQ. We got there early, and also was able to watch a live band from Ghana that played African Beat Music. They, and the DJ were terrific! The venue itself, ZeyZey Miami was surprisingly engaging! They had a large outdoor spacecraft dancing and luatening to the live band and a smaller indoor area also for dancing andistening, which is where we met, listened and danced to BOSQ's music. ZeyZey had a lot of seating all around both outside and inside, with some seating in more quiet locations where you could chill out, but still hear the music. In addition, they had 3 bars set up, and a food truck. All in all we honestly had a good time and we're among the very last to leave at around 12:30 AM. And on top of it all, there is a well ligjhted parking lot across the street with free parking, which made things a lot easier! We think you should check it out! While we had misgivings in our way there, they went out the window, once we...
Read moreGood venue but their ticketing is predatory. March 29th they promised that if you arrived before 10:30 you’d get in for free. I showed up at 10:20 and there was a 50 minute line. At the very least put a disclaimer that the line can get long so if you really want to get in for free then show up when the doors open. No indication that the free ticket wouldn’t apply if you got there before 10:30 but waited in line. I felt cheated and would’ve appreciated more transparency from them about this. Also I felt bad for the employees at the entrance who had to do damage control for those of us who felt cheated for decisions that management made. Venue itself is nice and the music is good, crowd is a lot of middle aged white people not everyone was dancing but some people were. Portapotties are the only bathrooms available FYI and apparently they also do tattoos there. Might come back, might not but it’s cute to visit...
