Unfortunately, not a good experience for me. On the 26th November I placed a large order, as my main Christmas presents. I understood my order may not arrive in time and that was fine. By the end of January I contacted to ask when I would receive my order, I was told it would be shipping shortly and that USPS would be collecting it. I waited a further 2 weeks for tracking info and nothing was received. After contacting again I was told my order was being made again as it has been sent before which wasn’t what I was told previously. I was told it was shipping then next day. A further 4 days and then I can see a USPS label was created for my order, I got excited!! The label was created on the 24th January, the label to this day still shows as “USPS awaiting item, so the parcel hasn’t been given to them. Shop owner advised me she had called customs and they have it. Unfortunately that is impossible, when USPS collect a parcel it is scanned in when they collect it and then sent to customs. My parcel has never left New York. I have had to contact my bank to get a refund which is such a huge shame as I waited a long time, patiently for this to be the outcome I had to take. Messages from the shop owner were starting to be ignored which is why I have had to take action outside of her “customer service” as a small witchcraft business owner myself. This was not a decision i took lightly. (EDIT) now been contacted by shop owner. Package has an error with customs and shipping label creator. I will update again, service received today is great and I hope to receive my package!
La brujas edited response below is an automatic lie she sends to everyone. My item was never waiting customs charges, it would need to have been sent to be waiting customs charges. It was sent after I said I would have to do a chargeback. Just please be careful, I think la bruja was once an amazing store. I don’t know what’s happened, but as you can see from her response, her photos don’t actually back up what she’s saying. There are others like me, still waiting. After the response from labruja, and the huge insult regarding me being a “witch” and buying from her, wow, I was supporting another small business, I never mentioned my business by name! As you can see, I was strung along from November until March!
I will always purchase from other small businesses to use tools for my own craft. If we cannot support one other, and be critical of someone spending so much money with then what kind of craft is this?!
I would never copy her items, and I wouldn’t want to. You can see from my photos also that she tells me she is getting married, then she is divorcing him before the marriage has happened! Also, photo attached of a customer contacting me via Etsy because she is having the same issues, la brujas products are beautiful, I would never deny that, but having to go through all this? Being belittled in my practise because I purchased from her in absolutely disgusting. I honestly think there could be mental health problems and family problems at play, and I’m so sorry for her but this isn’t acceptable.
You can see me asking to pay her the extra shipping! I did a charge back and then told her I would pay when it arrived as she wanted to send it anyway. I would also like to point out that the pictures she has posted as “my reviews” are NOT mine, I only ever ordered a sea witch oil before this order on her Etsy account, if those reviews were left by me, I am happy for her to uncover my name and repost them! I was only able to buy one item in person, since she was out of stock on most things—which wasn’t a problem.i just thought that meant her products are great and she's sold out. She mentioned that people had come in to prep for the new moon and cleared her out. I thought to myself, “Good for her business!"
She told me that if I ordered anything from her website, I could come back in the next 24 hours to pick it up. I explained I was just visiting but said I’d order and have it shipped. I ended up placing a $150 order—mostly gifts for my girlfriends and a birthday present for myself.
A couple of days later, I went on her website and left a message asking if I could add one more item for a friend’s birthday, and I left my number. Shortly after, I received a text from Iveliz asking what I wanted to add so she could include it with my package. She told me to order it through the website, so I did.
That was on June 28th. Today is July 25th. I wouldn’t have minded waiting—even a month—if she had just been responsive. But she hasn’t replied since my last payment. I'm going to try to dispute the purchase now. I used Venmo for the second order and I think I def lost that $. I genuinely hope she’s okay. Her website is still up and accepting payments. I can’t say enough good things. I have worked with Iveliz for around three years and believe me when I say that she makes the impossible possible. When I first met her, I was trapped in a stale and abusive marriage and couldn’t see a way out. I was depressed, anxiety-ridden, stuck in a stale career and all around burned out. I wanted love, a life I could be proud of. I had the vision of it but had no idea if or how I could make it happen.
Today, I am so close to the life I’ve always wanted I can almost reach out and grab it. It hasn’t been easy by any means, and it hasn’t been cheap! But if you want it badly enough, Iveliz can most assuredly help make it happen.
