Update 5/10/2025 Its been awhile since my last visit. Im in the area with my youngest son who is both a Chef and Pastry chef and I wanted to share my experience of this restaurant with him. Again this place did not disappoint. My son was amazed on the quality of the food, the balance of flavors and how the coffee so flavorful, rich and not acidic. Our waitress who i believe is the daughter of the owner remembered me from my last visit a year ago which made me feel a bit special. The food was fresh and flavorful. Just another amazing experience. My youngest son said this was his first experience with Columbian food and he is ready to try more. If you dont mind cilantro they have a fresh hot sauce that is cilantro based that is just delicious. It tastes just like a sofrito i make but with a kick and with a bit more creamy consistency. You can buy it there.. i bought some last visit and used it in my rice and gondules and it ended up being the best rice and gondules ive made to date. Again great job. I love this place. If you are in the area give it a try. This place never disappoints, at least for me. I took my dad there for the first time today and he was blown away. The food was fresh and flavorful, I ended up eating the whole plate full. The Columbian coffee was so smooth I did not need sugar. The Staff was amazing. With me being a foodie and both my sons are chefs, the owner was more than happy to talk with us. She explained how they bring in products from a far so everything made will be authentic as if it came from Columbia. For the the best part is that the restaurant is small and kind of out of the way with a nice atmosphere inside. The restaurant is easy to spot but quick to pass by. I highly recommend stopping and giving them a try. Great job pocono cafe and Columbian Bakery.

We visited this quaint cafe to sample their epicurean delights. I ordered a half rack of beef ribs which came with white rice and beans and a side salad with a light dressing. My husband tried the Shrimp with garlic sauce that I also sampled that had the most delightfully delectable sauce unlike any I have ever tasted. Both of us found this cafe a delightful way to spend a rainy day to eat dinner. The prices are very easy on the pocketbook and I can't wait to return and sample their breakfast menu on a return trip. The views here are of old world style, piped in music is relaxing and we sat by the fireplace which only adds to their atmosphere. I took home some their pastries from the bakery all of which are gigantic in size compared to most places we have visited. I walked away with a fair sampling of all my favorites. Elephant ears, pineapple and apple turnovers and we will eat eat them later as we were full with the dinner menu. Try them soon you won't be disappointed. They also have a takeout menu and offer a wide assortment of beverages. They also have free Wifi.

We fall in love with the area, so convenient for us not even 2 hours drive away from LIC. We love the mountains, the saw creek community and the activities all year fun! The only weak spot was for us the restaurants. So we know; as NYC resident we are really food snobes, Never satisfied with anything and and and etc... so you take that multiply by the fact that I am French and it makes it 10 times worse. We were always wondering driving on 209 about a really cute spot full of flowers and with a big sign LATIN CUISINE! So pretty unconventional for the area? So we tried for lunch with absolutely no expectation and our kinda were blown away! The columbian food is terrific, the prices are ridiculously cheap (again NYC) and it is run by a lovely family from Flushing Queens. So good news: you can eat wonderfully in Bushkill really simple and affordable with outdoor sitting. We came 3 times in 3 days and we even challenged them on their paella and it was a hit! Good news for me I don't need to come up with all my cooking stuff in order to survive the Poconos wildness!

On our way back from spending a long weekend camping in the Delaware Water Gap, we stumbled upon a cozy looking Colombian restaurant situated near the Poconos. We initially planned to get takeout, but the hosts were so inviting we ended up dining in. The decor, the friendly atmosphere, the music and weather all combined to create the perfect, relaxing ambience. Having traveled to Colombia several times and my wife being from there, itās been a challenge to find good, authentic food locally - this place hit the mark. They have a full restaurant menu, but also specialize in delicious baked goods, too. We ordered so much, we had leftovers - the owners were very social and the place was family and pet friendly, too! Weāll definitely come back again on our next trip. Communication was good, they are native Spanish speakers but can converse in English just fine and are very welcoming. Donāt let some biased reviews stop you from experiencing a real hidden gem. Our dogs gave it 3 paws up, too! (And they only speak Woof!)

We arrived for lunch as a party of 6 without a reservation and were seated immediately. We had some difficulty communicating with our waitress. We tried to order some chips and guacamole, but she told us that they do not do appetizers when it is busy. We ordered the Chicken Breast in Garlic Sauce, Roasted Pork, BBQ Ribs, Chicken Mofongo, and Vegetable Mofongo. After 30 minutes of waiting, we asked how the food was coming along. The staff came back to confirm that they were working on our order. 15 minutes later, we finally got our food. The food is pretty expensive, but the serving sizes are pretty big. Unfortunately, all of the meat was overly salty. The garlic sauce was good and some parts of the BBQ ribs were super tender and came off the bone super easy. Definitely not worth the wait though. It was hard to communicate with the staff, we had to wait a long time for the food, and the food was expensive and not very tasty. I would not recommend coming here.

We were spending the day at Shawnee and we were looking to have dinner. As usual I googled places near by. Only a 6 minute drive away from the mountain, it was ideal. Upon arrival the parking lot was well decorated with Christmas ornaments and more than enough parking. We were greeted and sat promptly. Mind you we were a party of 10. The service was attentive and they are bilingual so communication was no issue. We started with the beef ā empanadas ā as an appetizer. They were fresh, warm and delicious. We also ordered hot chocolate, fresh lemonade and a typical hot Colombian drink. All on point. We ordered 2 ā picadasā which is a mix of meats. The picadas were a huge portion enough to share. We also ordered a churrasco and it was juicy and came with 2 side orders. We finished with some coffee and a cappuccino. Over all a great experience by all! Next time we are back in the area we will definitely stop by!
