After our third experience with Los Tres Amigos, we are giving up on ordering from them. The first time we ordered through a delivery service. The food came an hour late and cold. Richie, the owner, claimed the delivery service came late. Being that we are going through a pandemic, we understood that things are not easy for anyone. The second time we ordered through a different delivery service. The food arrived cold again. The food was good, which is the reason we ordered again, and why I am giving them 1 star and not less. So we heated it up again. The third time, my husband called Richie, gave him the order, and went to pick it up figuring the food would be nice and hot. Sadly, not only was the food cold, but we were missing a part of the order. My husband spoke to Richie who claimed he didn't hear that part of the order. I was sitting right there so I know Richie heard it because he repeated it back to him. He also claims he didn't charge us for it, but that doesn't add up either, and their receipt is not itemized, it only has the total. This is not acceptable. We are in May 2021 now, about a year into the pandemic. If businesses want to thrive, they need to adapt. Los Tres Amigos only has pick up and delivery service. There is no reason why they shouldn't be more streamlined by now. They appeared to be a very busy business and there is no inside dining yet. Hire at least one person to take orders and process them properly and correctly. Use better containers so that food does not spill out every time an order comes from your restaurant. Also remember who the locals are who give you repeat business. When the tourists are gone, we are still here, and if you don't treat your community right, they will notice.
Edit: To add insult to injury, my husband and I both got sick from the food the next day. It was apparent when we opened the food that Los Tres Amigos does not cook fresh to order, it seems they prepare "favorites" and keep them heated under lamps until orders come in. The food was wilted and moist, like it was sitting for a while. My "Avocado salad" wasn't really a salad, it was fajita veggies thrown together, mostly peppers and onions with wilted dark green salad. The ends that we throw out. It just all seems like Mexican fast food basically....
Read moreOriginally from NYC so I had all types of Mexican food but for the Poconos this place is okay . Since I moved here 3yrs ago this has been my go to if I don’t feel like driving to Crystal street so for my daughters birthday we decided to throw her a little celebration and order food from door dash which I never do but being that I was in the middle of a party I thought what the heck ( didn’t want to leave ) 30 minutes after ordering a dasher was at the restaurant but the food wasn’t ready so they left after 70 minutes of waiting and my pick up time being pushed later and later and no dasher in the area I told my fiancé to just pick up the order I called the restaurant prior and advised them that since no dasher was available my fiancé was picking up the food and if a dasher just happens to become available NOT TO HAND OUT MY FOOD BECAUSE MY FIANCÉ WAS ON THE WAY . 15 minutes after he left a dasher heads towards my order I text and called the dasher ( man ) advising them not to head to the restaurant my fiancé was on the way they said okay . 10 minutes later the restaurant calls me telling me that a dasher ( female ) was there for my order I told them not to give my food to this person being that I had my fiancé on my way and I did not authorize her to pick up my food being that door dash was a male and now this is becoming sketchy and now I felt as if my food was just being played with going from hand to hand instead of the manager holding my food THEY GIVE IT TO THE DASHER . Instead of the manager respecting me as a returning paying customer . To make matters worst when I called the restaurant to tell the manager what transpired they didn’t answer I called from blocked and somebody answers my fiancé made it back before the dasher and it was a mess no it’s 9pm I have 2 hungry toddlers and I have to whip something up before bed. I would never dine here again they respect they have for customers clearly does not exists they still got paid and I was out of 45 bucks and a long night...
Read moreI have been to some of the best Mexican restaurants in the world. I have been to Mexico several times. Oddly in rural Pennsylvania, I find the best Mexican food ever. We do not live here. We are vacationing. We live about 2 hours away in New Jersey in a Philadelphia Suburb. The staff sat us quickly. We were indecisive about what we were going to order. Our waitress came over several times and advised us on what to order and was very friendly. My son decided on a chicken burrito. My daughter ordered a simple cheese quesadila. My wife ordered chicken Fajitas. I ordered Chicken and Chorizo Fajitas. This was not on the menu. My son, who is 9 years old ate his burrito in about 4 minutes. Not that you can get much information from a 9 year old boy, I could tell he was very happy. My 7 year old daughter who never is happy about anything ate every piece of her Quesadila and for 20 minutes wasn't whiny. My wife who is the biggest Mexican critic in the world loved her fajita and ate more than she ever does. I personally don't even like Mexican food.. I go to Mexican restaurants because my wife is a fan. I loved my Chorizo and chicken Fajita. The Chorizo and Chicken combination was fantastic. The owner/chef came over. He said he never got the request for that fajita request but he was glad to do it. He also said he was glad to do any request. I even had a $5.00 coupon for this place and it was so good and it was so cheap anyways I didn't use it. It is a BYOB. If you are even in the POCONOS this place is a must.. I can't say one negative thing about this place.. It is good.. Cheap. and great service.. We are here for 3 more days and no question we will be back... It is almost worth the 2 hour drive to eat...
