Hannaford — Local services in Middleborough

This place literally sucks. If I didnt have such a busy schedule id never come to hannaford. Only continue to do so because of the curbside pickup. But think we are going to try Trucchis now because they ofer curbside. One the parking lot sucks so bad and the spots for where curbside pick up are could not be worse. Management really needs to look at moving these spots to the right of the parking g lot where there is not heavy traffic flow. And there needs to be more spits. 5 is not enough. The amount of times I have been left circling around is crazy. People use these spots to park and to inside. Someone literally just did it as I wrote this. You have to have more spots. And third you guys are soooo slow. And its this store that is having this issue. Taunton store im in and out has about 12 spots also. Oh and they are fair. Been sitting here for over 10 mineust. A car whips in and lo and behind they open there car door and there order is already outside. Either this person is cheating the system or they know people thay work here. There's a way to make the system not be cheated and there is also a way to make sure thay we are not playing favorites to customers. Just things that really could be...

Saw an old man walk out with a cart full of groceries today un bagged without paying. I went out got his license plate, he was with another old man. Got into an argument with him. Went inside told the mgr who was with other managers and possibly a general mgr. The old man walked past all of them within 20 feet. I shouted to them as the man was walking out. Nothing was done. After talking with the mgr, he actually smiled, shrugged his shoulders and said "so what, there is nothing we can do" so I said cool, I'm gonna do the same and walked away. I went to the pharmacy got my script, PAID FOR IT. Walked past them all and said I'm doing the same, I refuse to pay. They just starred at me as I walked away. I am saying to everyone if u go there and just walk out with carriages full of food, they will not stop you. That's what I am told. I'm telling everyone on FB, Snapchat, Instagram and more. Hannafords is a great local food store, and it includes a pharmacy. The produce and meats are always good quality. The staff and their services are always pleasant.

This bit is a petpeve, but as with most grocery stores, Hannafords have replaced half of their registers with self-checkout. Though I never see any discount for patrons checking and bagging for themselves (or alternate jobs for the kids who used to run the registers), many people use these registers. In their defense, I will say that Hannafords do always have both a single register and the 14 and under items register to serve those of us unwilling to work for free.
