There have only been two times where an experience was somewhat negative, but the customer service was so good that I left a 5-star review. This is one of those times.
So I just turned 45. And with that, you get to poop in a bucket and ship your poop to get tested for colon cancer. And it's shipped via UPS next day air. What a time to be alive.
I dropped my package off at this store a week ago and got a receipt. Side note: I've been to the Middleton store a handful of times and each time I've received great service from friendly people. Anyway, the holiday came around and I kind of forgot about that special delivery until this weekend. Out of curiosity, I checked the tracking number: it showed it was still at the store.
Of course my mind leapt to the one conclusion: they forgot about that telltale white box and left it under the counter. They saw the Cologuard symbol and thought "Ew, poop! I'm not touching that." Or the UPS driver saw said box and did the same. No one likes to handle poop, I get it. But at the same time I was super annoyed and got more annoyed with each passing moment. I was thinking I should have just brought it directly to the hub and skipped the middleman that is the UPS store. Psssh.
Today I called the store and left a message, wondering where my turd was (and trying not to sound like a Karen). Within an hour I got a call back and talked to a very nice woman (wish I remembered their name) who assured me it was picked up. I believed her given the small size of the shop. She had some dang good poop puns, so 5 stars for that! She recommended I contact Exact Sciences for another test, which I promptly did. It turned out Exact did receive my package and it's already being tested. The package was never scanned by UPS.
So the moral of this story is that sometimes it's the middleman who does everything right and is respectful of you and what you need delivered, but it's the actual delivery service that goofs up. And had I left it at the hub, it may have never been scanned there and I would get crappy customer service as a result. So thank you, UPS Store! I'll be back again with hopefully a different package that contains something...

I believe his name is Michael because he did not have a name tag on and I had to ask him directly what his name was.
Micheal was incredibly rude and unprofessional in the way he acted towards my partner and I. If I am talking through my package and shipping options with one of your associates, there is no way the proper response is for you to wander over, turn your back to me without acknowledging a single thing I’ve said, and then exclaim “I don’t know what they are talking about trying to ship this standard!” while I’m two feel away from you. I did not enjoy being in a situation where other customers were staring at me because of things your employee said about me.
I am a human being, not a they. Don’t take over my transaction, act like I’m a moron and then try to slip away without saying a single word to me.
The next time I want to ship something nice for a friend, I will make sure to do it in a place where people at least make eye...
Read moreI was looking for a local source to print postcards to promote a QuickBooks seminar that our firm was teaching. I called the Middleton UPS Store to obtain a quote and the lady who handles the printing explained that she could also do the postage at a discounted rate and mail the postcards too, basically take care of the entire project from design to mailing. This was awesome. I sent my list of addresses and my design of the postcard. She made some modifications which made the postcard look fantastic. It was really nice to be able to keep the business local, in addition to saving us money on the postage. The staff we spoke with were very nice and helpful. Thank you Middleton UPS Store. We will be back for another mailing again soon.
June 2016 - I wanted to update my post as I visited the store again to send a overnight package. It was 5:40p.m. and the pickup for next day air was a 6p.m. The staff was so hopeful.
