China Wok — Restaurant in Middleton

I don't know what has happened to this place, but man is has turned poor, bad, and muy mal. If you know, you know. The last two orders were not hot and fresh, they don't bother the read any instructions any more and the quality of the food is just so bad now. The sweet and sour chicken tasted fishy. The chicken lowmein is just dry noodles with some onions and bad tasting slimy chicken pieces. The pork egg rolls were soft and mushy and the hot and sour soup mimics preset jello. My daughter laughed as it jiggled. I would not recommend ordering from here until they relearn how to do Chinese food. If I were the owner, I would be embarrassed for this to represent me.

We love the food at China Wok, but tonight they went above and beyond! I absolutely love the string beans and will often order just the beans and rice for myself. Tonight when I picked up my to-go order, I was told they had run out of the beans, but I should pick anything else on the menu or I could just get a refund. I was disappointed, but I get it that food runs out, so I picked another dish. When it was ready, the guy told me that he put half an order in my bag....I thought he meant half an order of the replacement dish I picked because it was $2 more than the beans, which I was fine with honestly because I know their portions are huge. But when I got home I found a half serving of the beans I so badly wanted, in addition to the full order of my replacement dish! Thank you so much! I recently ordered pork chow mein from China Work, but when I went to pick it up, I realized it wasn’t the noodle dish I expected. It turns out that chow mein at this restaurant is actually a rice dish, while lo mein is the noodle version I was looking for. I went back to the restaurant, and the staff was incredibly helpful. They explained the difference, and the worker kindly offered to make the lo mein for me at no extra charge, even though I tried to pay for the correct dish.

I was really impressed by their thoughtfulness and generosity. Plus, the food was absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be coming back for more great food and excellent service.
