Hair Cuttery — Local services in Middletown Township

I came in for a cut/color and saw Amanda N. She was very nice, and eager to cut my hair. I asked to have about 18-20” cut as I donate my hair. After separating and braiding my hair she cut one side and while I nervously laughed I was a bit shocked but tried to remain happy! I had to remember this was a big cut regardless. After she finish cutting the other sections I noticed right away it was very uneven and she said she would clean it up... ahhh cutting more off 🥴 I had a smile, thanked her and even left a good tip. She took before/after pictures and sent me them and as soon as I got in the car I knew it was very uneven. I measured my hair at home and it was 25”!!!!! While I get an inch or maybe 2” extra, 5” more is unacceptable. I don’t have social media but a friend sent me the post and she didn’t post the back view of my haircut because you can CLEARLY see it’s uneven. Listen, spend the extra money and stay away from chain salons. Thankfully I can get most of it up in a bun and a few bobby-pins to get the even cut but never again. Go to a real salon, there’s tons around town... wishing I had done that now. My hair is much shorter than I wanted and looks awful down. Also, I didn’t receive a receipt, but I paid $20 for flat iron finish and the website say $7... also my hair coloring was only done at the root and toner on the rest of my hair. God what a terrible $140...

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I was referred to Amanda Mitchell. I wish I was able to post the pictures. I was looking for an ombre with two very blonde pieces to the front. Showed pictures etc. I was a out grown highlighted blonde prior to service. She put blonde in places I did not ask. "Color expert specialist" should not I repeat should not ever leave someone who requests blonde go home with brassy or an orange tinted hair. You may not be the goal to what you requested but bright orange.. no. My root as she quoted enhanced my root when I did not want my root color.

I am extremely disappointed that I sat for hours to run out of there as fast as possible. I did not want her to even wash or dry my hair.. she dried bleached hair to glaze over.. no no no I repeat no. My scalp is scabbed and burning.

Manager Kim offered to fix it. Why on God's green earth would I come into a salon again to get it fixed when I no longer trust this place of business. I want a refund, which needs a bigger approval. The cost to have a color correction is 100$ an hour..... who pays...

3 stars. Gina is absolutely fabulous with my daughter and her haircuts. Always happy with how she does her hair. She’s patient and so kind to her! I had Erika do a blowout for me. Erika was so nice. When I booked the appointment I requested a curling iron to be used also and was booked with Amanda. But I get it’s busy and Erika provided my service. Another customer came in, and wanted a larger service than myself and they were trying to accommodate the customer which I totally understand. I heard another hair dresser saying I’m taking too long with Erika because I’m just a blowout and it’s not cool. Meanwhile I made an appointment for a blowout with a curling iron. So the woman who made my appointment over the phone made it wrong. I felt rushed and my hair was rushed as the curls didn’t even stay for an hour my hair lost its...
