Rent-A-Center — Local services in Middletown

I just wanted to share my personal opinion of my experience thus far at Middletown Rent-A-Center, first and foremost, and probably the only thing I have the say is the exceptional service of the sales woman Heather she very easily gets her point across. She’s very upfront, and I wish I could emphasize this word, but honest about pricing she will work with you and make sure that you’re comfortable with the long-term agreement as opposed to returning the item. I am very confident when Heather calls they she is either keeping me on track with monthly Payments or finding something that might fit my needs it is always a pleasure and a full sales experience not to be swindled or haggle with but very professionally dealt with when I’m working with Heather over the phone. They are a rip off ! Do not go here. They told me my bed would be paid off in November on the 26th of 2018. Come to find out when I thought I was making my last payment I noticed there was still a balance. They kept hidden fees from me. Did not tell me about if your late that it adds to your loan. Not once was this explained to me. Even though late I always paid them. It was totally a waste of money. I’m so upset and disgusted with the way they crooked me out of my money. Upon speaking to the manager Brad he said “it wasn’t his job to let us customers know that if your late ect it adds money to the end of your loan. Why wasn’t this explained? Because he didn’t want me to know apparently. I suggest to anyone either save your money back and buy a bed , TV ect. Or investigate other rent places and look at the reviews and the ratings. Make sure nothing is hidden from you and everything is on the table. Ask questions! ...

I always thought these rent to own places were a rip off but the staff at this rent a center have gone out of their way to help me and make sure I was taken care of. Just this past weekend my tv went out so one of the staff members stayed over just to help me out. Gave me a loaner tv until mine was fixed. I told them to just write it up and I'd just keep the loaner which was a way more expensive tv but w/e. He told me he wasn't going to do that because I was so close to paying my tv off. They could have not said anything and had me paying them for a tv for a lot longer but they didn't want to do me like that. I've gotten a ps4, gaming laptop and tv from them and I'll probably get more from them down the road. Great people to work with. The negitave reviews you see are more likely from people who didn't want to make their payments. If you make your payments like you agreed to they will take...
